Pretty much an a$$ whoopin from start to finish. Their 0-line really abused Arlington tonight. They seemed to have a chip on their shoulder from the opening kick.

Sounds like Trinity has some average running backs and a featherweight Oline - as usual :p

Great game for us! I just watched the rebroadcast.
I'm glad I watched the rebroadcast, because I caught some things I didn't see at the game live. I also caught a different perspective watching the rebroadcast. One thing, it seemed like an Arlington player shoved one of our guys; but in watching the rebroadcast it was just a friendly gesture congratulating our guy on a good tackle.
Our guys did a great job of tackling! Our Dline did a wonderful job getting pressure on Joeckel. It was something watching our Dline make it through those huge guys on the Arlington Oline! We had a good game all around! It was really just fun to watch. I've missed a few games live, and having not seen some games for a while; it's amazing to see how much a lot of our guys have physically grown! Damien Hart and Brandon Carter have grown a foot it seems!
On the Arlington team, they had a lot of size! They pretty much have as much size as Allen! I didn't know this about Arlington.
They have the tools in place to be a great team, they are just missing that something, sumpfin to put them over the edge.
Joeckel can be a good one. He needs a lot of polishing. He is in dire need of a good QB coach. He needs a lot of work on his footwork. Everyone comments on how he suffers when pressured. In my opinion, it seems his footwork is getting in the way. When he has to move, his feet are not ready for him to throw when he has a man open. He has the arm strength, it just seems his feet are not in sync with his arm.
I also think that sometimes his recievers dropping some catchable passes made him look bad as well.
I think the biggest thing that hurt Arlington was their missed tackles. Our backs will make a lot of people do this; but ya gotta hang on!

Greatly said (although if people wanted to keep on just missing tackles on the other team, I'm good with that :D)

If you guys could put together a decent running game, you'd really be something. ;)

Congrats on another big win.

As someone who has seen Trinity play 5 times this season at different points (including last night), its amazing how much better they are on offense each time I have seen y'all play. Like I said in the pre-game thread, Hubbard, in my mind, has gone from a liability to a genuine asset running the ball. The defense looked MUCH improved from the Plano game. I am starting to think that Plano caught lightning in a bottle and just played the collective game of their lives that day, instead of really exposing a chink in the Trojan armor.

Either way, hats off to the Trinity coaches. At the first of the season, I thought y'all had some holes, and this might be a "tough" year, by Trinity standards. Instead, they've improved every single time I've watched them, and there is something to be said for scheduling tough teams early on, then working on where you were exposed in those games, and then peaking at the right time. That has been Trinity's formula, and its a good one. Good luck to the Trojans next week...there is no reason this team can't win the whole thing.

Awsome post again Observer.

We've been spoilt by our offense. Since the CedarHill loss we've just come to expect it from them every week. Did I mention we were spoiled?

I will say that our secondary has now had 2 superb games in a row. This game was exceptional but I have to give it up to our D line. If they can continue to get pressure, even without bringing a 5th guy then our secondary won't have to be world beaters, but they were last night anyways, what a joy to watch our young Rover have quite possibly his best game of the season.

We don't want to get ahead of ourselves. The Martin game is still fresh in our minds. We know there will be atleast 1 more defense (2 if we win) that will make us nervous as the Warriors did, before we can stake a claim to that trophy.
