2005 - Abilene (12-0) lost to SLC (Round 3)
2004 - Abilene (12-0) lost to SLC (Round 3)
2003 - Abilene (6-4) lost to Irving (Round 3)

I agree, Abilene is the real deal. I wished the UIL would do like they do in basketball and seed the semi-finals. If you can get out of Region 1 and 2 you deserve to win it all.

Haltom, ahhh, my old Alma mater. I reflect back with great fondness all those years of going to and winning State over and over.:notworthy


Now that I think of it I dont think they ever won a Championship, or went to the semi's , or the quarterfinals. Their best year was 1993 when they went 6-7 and advanced to the 3rd round. :rolleyes:

I realize that....just added the year he missed...we did get out of R2 that year but were beat up...couldn't beat a Pville team I feel we would have if healthy. But thats part of the game now isn't it? ;)
