After the season that fell short...or didnt meet standards or was dissapointing..how ever you would like to word it can Lee bounce back this year or is it another losing season and another win for CUJO???? One seems to think can tyler have 2 good teams in the same year?

I don't believe Tyler Lee lost their talent over night. Playing with the target of a defending state champion is one of the hardest things to do in sports as a program.
Lee knows all about that now, and I expect them to be improved this fall as long as they avoid the big injuries (which they didn't do last year).

Theres no way...that just them playing with the target on there backs made them not have a winning season.......just my opinion though......

It wasn't the only reason, but it is definitely a contributing factor. If everyone is prepared to give you their best shot, and you aren't ready for it...bad things happen.
Of course, most championship teams are senior laden and the turnover makes it difficult to be that good again. However, the truly elite programs get themselves in position for championships almost every year, and I think Lee has the ability to become one of those programs with the talent they have.

If they don't, Mike Owens can kiss his job goodbye. I think he is mainly to blame for the horrible season. He got too gimmicky and tried to put them all over TV and drive them to the corners of this country to show off his state champ team and he got embarassed. The whole time, he forgot what kind of wear that would have on the team.

I dont think its all owens fault..i think alot of it is you had the jrs on the state team and became sr's this year and thought they could just ride the coat tails of the team from the year before...and where did they find themselves in december..on the couch watching tennis!

It was a combination of things. Injuries, a junior heavy team, poor coaching decisions, cockiness from the staff, school, and players. Same thing happened to Lake also.
Your powerhouses have learned to overcome that. Thats why Katy and SLC are always good. They have depth so they can overcome injuries and transiotions from senior to junior teams are easier. They all have competent coaches who are reliable year in and year out. And while their players have a certains wagger to them they realzie that they will have to work for their victories and their championships as much as anyone else.

Lol ok arab.... Owens doesn't boast about anything and the main reason to be blame is all the juniors on the team. It is nothing to do with Owens and he is doing a good job with the team but the team is not doing what they are supposed to be doing. I expect this team to go better than last year. You get it now? next time, please don't make it up alright?

Yes... that happens, but most of our juniors are not that good enough this year. I see most Junior teams don't win and not go playoffs. 3 years ago, we had many juniors and we went 7-3 and went to 3 overtimes in quarterfinals vs #1 The Woodlands 50-48.
Yes, it happens with some junior teams but not often.
