Dude I'm at work....I cant laugh out loud like that. They come over and talk to you being freindly....without you asking them to come over...then they sit on your lap for 3 songs then ask for $75 because it was $25 per song....."I Didn't ask for this"....then security throws you out.
That happened to a friend of mine:D

Why all the love for TexMex food?
That crap is horrible...
I love Mexican food......but authentic Mexican food...
Not burritos with chili powder on them...that is just unacceptable.

Wide are you able to get "authentic" Mexican food in Waco? In my experience, the real thing doesn't exist north of San Antonio. As a Valley boy, there is nothing I hate to hear more from my West Texas and Dallas friends than "I found this Mexican place that even YOU will like". No matter where I have been it has always been an insult to my refined palate. One sure way to know that you are being fooled at a Mexican restraunt-- they only serve refried beans. If they just stare at you when you ask for your frijoles "a la charra", you might as well just walk out.
And for the record, Tex-Mex is also better in SoTex.

I found it at one place.
A little hole in the wall called "Trevino's" The whole place is decked out
with Dallas Cowboys memorabilia...Old Tony Dorsett pictures and team photos from the 80's and 90's.
The food is pretty good...
But there are at least 15 other places that people told me "You will like this it's good"
And it sucked........
I try to go to Morales' restaurant in Lufkin every chance I get. They have altered their menu a tad over the years...but they still serve authentic food for the most part.
I agree........north of San Antonio.....your choices are slim to none.

A couple of North of San Antonio places.
La Carretta in Nac
Mercado's in Tyler
Abuelo's in Arlington
Good food that's authentic. At least according to my wife, and she's Mexican.
