Not quite as bad as it did the first few weeks of the season, but still is a weak point.

Titans are hot. Don't feel good about it, but let's hope Houston doesn't gack up another home game.

I hope it is a shootout with the Texans winning 56-49 and Chris Johnson running for 200 yards and at least 4 td's in the loss. He is on my fantasy team and I need the points

The Texans cannot afford to lose this game. This is the biggest game in the history of the franchise to this point IMO. If they lose, they will likely not make the playoffs this season because they follow the Titans with the Colts, then the Jags on the road. If they go 1-2 over the next three games they are done as far as playoffs go and a winning record could be in jeopardy as well.

I feel like the Texans will bring it tonight and squeak by the Titans with a 30-24 win and ride the momentum next week and beat the Colts who will be ripe to lose a game. GO TEXANS!!!

I like the Titans in this one, they are hot and Chris Johnson is unstoppable.

Should be a close game, but when a team has it clicking they have it clicking......

Incredibly tough loss, but Tenn. controlled the second half.

VY - still has it.

And the variable of a DC who decided he'd give VY all day to pass...

And the variable of a DL who decided they didn't want to pass-rush...

And the variable of the OC who called perhaps the worst game of the season, for Houston's offense...

And the variable of.... "he who is VY"!

Dear Bob McNair:

VY accounted for 7 pts and nearly 200 yds... and Tennessee won. Mario accounted for 3 tackles... and Houston lost.

HA! Texans should have picked VY in the draft.

Who had the most impact in this game for helping their team win?

Vince Young or Maurio Williams?

Was Maurio even in the game?

YES!! How many players on Defense win games? Especially DE's? Take the QB in the draft next time Bob.

We had this conversation, in 2006. Hell, we've gone back and forth on the situation.. especially when Mario had a big year, last year. I kept saying... give me someone who can put pts on the scoreboard vs a sackmaster, any day.

No lie... give me a good QB (he doesn't even have to be a future HOF'er.. e.g. Ben Roethlisberger) over Reggie White or Bruce Smith... or even Joe Greene. Why? HE PUTS PTS ON THE BOARD!

Think about it... every single game in the history of the sport starts 0-0! You have to have someone who can score pts, in order to wn a game. Give me pts over sacks!

My priorities to a great Super Bowl team...

1. QB
2. LT
3. RB
4. CB
5. WR
6. DE
7. LB
8. S
9. TE
10. OL/DL

... 11. Head Coach

OL needs to be a higher priority or offense will get no where.

The Texans could not afford to lose this game and did for a variety of reasons. I don't care if they are still mathematically alive for a playoff spot, I think they are done and looking at another 8-8 season.

When will the mediocrity end? Fire the GM and HC and start over. They have some good core players in place, just need the right coaching staff and front office for them to take the next step.

All of this!!!

Where was Mario last night? He was a non factor in the game.

Seriously, calling a WR screen to RB Slaton inside the red zone on 3rd down? Uh, what's wrong with a fade in the endzone to your best player and have him make a play!! The play calling was horrendous.

And they wait until there is about a minute left in the game to finally put a spy on VY. Should have been doing that all game on 3rd down situations IMO.

I kept laughing everytime Ron "Jaws"worski would comment about how GREAT VY was during the entire game (don't get me wrong, I'm 100% a VY HOMER!) but to hear these idiots talk about it every 30 seconds was funny as :Censor:...

I just kept thinking "How much further up Vincents @$$ do they wanna be?

About as far as Musberger is, with the McCoys and Shipleys.

Yeah - Jaws was like "why did they call a quick pass to counter a blitz when the Titans don't blitz?"

I do actually feel for Kris Brown - the former SLC Dragon was money until 3 weeks ago.

Does anyone know or can speculate the reason that Bob McNair had Bum Phillips as his guest sitting next to him? I know Bum may be too old to coach but he sure is a good evaluator of talent and knows how to motivate people. I wonder if there is an opening for a front office position??????

It was a mistake , a big mistake for the Texans not to draft VY. Both would be in an exponentially better place now had this happened. I cannot believe they did not visualize this with VY coming off that NC run. The Texans would have been one of the NFL's glamour teams with that combination. Too late now.

Actually, the Texans would've ruined Vince Young. Why? Because - like the Front Office in Detroit - the Texans Front Office doesn't know their arse from their elbow. They wouldn't have put in place the right Head Coach, QB-Coach, and OC.

Trust me when I tell you, I have major insight into the Front Office of the Houston Texans. They have the old-school mentality, and most people in the organization will admit McNair chose Williams because he was sick and tired of the "fans and media" telling him to draft VY. Yep, that was his decision. He could care less about Carr being the QB - and being let go a year later - and opted to choose a DE over VY. Thiank about this, folks... VY was a legend, before he went to Texas. He then became, quiet possibly, the greatest CFB QB in the history of NCAAF. Texas is a football state, and VY might be the greatest Texas athlete, ever... yet Bob McNair chooses to not keep Houston's son in Houston. He chooses a DE. D-E-F-E-N-S-I-V-E E-N-D! If you think things are bad, now... just think how bad they could get if VY takes Tennessee to a SB. Just think if he's the hero of the SB! McNair will be ran out of town!

Mark my words... w/ McNair as owner, the Texans will never see true success.... e.g. playoff WINS.. or a SB appearance! Houston is the Detroit of the South.

That's what happens when you use him the right way. Rollouts and bootlegs, especially with the league's leading rusher in the backfield, will give teams nightmares.

I wonder if Garrett was taking notes?

His throwing mechanics seems to have improved a lot too. I hope he ends up in Houston sometime befor his career is done. He's pretty much said that he would love to play here. You'll see him at his best if it does happen.
