I feel your pain bro! Trust me. You'll be fine after the new year.

The first step is admitting your problem...mission accomplished. The next step is to create a TXHSFB video game like NCAA so we can continue our dream season in virtual reality. The final step is to dump a cooler of ice water over yourself after you take the Texas 5a state championship with a perfect undefeated season.

It really sucks when the team that beat you goes to the state championship. That hurt even worse!

makes me feel better, if i were going to lose to anyone I would rather lose to the team that wins it all then a team that never made it anyone. At least that way I can say I lost to the best

SOME of our teams didn't even make the playoffs. We are having to live vicariously through district rivals.

What about supporting your District's rival after all of your district got booted. At least NS still has good representation! 23-5 is planning for Thanksgiving and Xmas shopping! Dang, another stab to my stomach! Feel like I just maxed out on my Situps (11).

Try wandering around the yard for a few days, pulling weeds. Look at your kids and wife and learn to recognize them again. Step away from the computer for hours at a time and watch SYTYCD and AI and AGT, these will mesmerize you for hours of mindless activity so that you forget your pain.
But I can tell you.....the desire, the craving, the need never completely goes away, it just lessens until a new season arrives. :o
I feel your pain (see Carroll last year).

Much appreciated, and understand. As I said earlier, I was there at your state championship game last year and shared the joy with you. That is one way to cope.

I've been to the losers lounge! Many of my fellow brethen have not accepted the reality of their Great Team losing and have not entered its gates. They are still holding banners, pompoms, and stale chilli cheese nachos from week 1. Pearlanders, North Shore Nation, the Woodys, Former Champs Eagles are my biggest concerns. I could have sworn I saw AllenEagleDad running down 45 N in a daze chanting "We Shall Overcome". Im going to read Lou Holtz or Tony Dunge.

No good on that front either. District 2-5A tanked this season and we have no one left. :( Abilene is the thin thread keeping me tethered to sanity. :notworthy

I can totally relate... I felt this way last year.... when we lost in the Semis to Allen ...but what is even more trying is explaining "it" to my Husband who doesn't understand. Try being a woman and feeling these blues...
Here was my answer: eat lots of popcorn and watch every Football Feel Good movies thats is out there...Remember the Titans! You might have gained a few pounds but once the season starts again next year, you will still be eating the popcorn and sitting in the stands watching it live once again.
pssst: our season it not over yet ...WE ARE STILL IN THE PLAYOFFS!!!
so I haven't felt this pain yet this year!!!
BTW: I had you on my bracket predictions playing us in the State Championship. Hope that makes you SMILE! ;)

Just realize that there are over 885 11-man teams in the same boat statewide currently and only 136 still alive. 68 of THOSE will be joining us after next weekend and 102 of them after 2 weeks! Next season will be here before you know it. Believe me there are a LOT of folks who feel your pain.
;) :)

...I feel your pain bro! Try winning your district, then laying a humongus egg in the first half of the opening round of the playoffs (got behind 33-0 with 47 seconds left before half), coming ALL the way back to take a 36-33 lead with 57 seconds left and then end up losing in 2 overtimes 39-36 because your field goal kicker developes the yipes!! To top it off you know you will not be back for 3 years because you are moving down to 4A in the next cycle. Yes, life can be cruel. But there is always the future! Hang in there and just enjoy the rest of the season as an unabashed fan of high school football!!!!:)

Its Day 3, Im still woozy! I can barely hold down a bowl of soup after those 8 McRib Sandwiches and tofurkey. I still see visions of several 3rd and 12s and completions down the middle. (Excuse me! Feeling nausious again!)
Back. Withdrawl is a monster! Maybe highlights of last year will help! I feel the chills coming on. Back later.
I went with my son to the stadium yesterday and spent some time throwng him passes while having him run pass patterns and then had him practice his 100 yd dash and long jump too.
Going to check to see when 7 on 7 starts and mark that in my calendar.
Go Texans!!!
(Still, it doesn't help much...):(
BTW, am I blind or did something happen to Pearland1 loser lounge? For some reason, I can't find it now?

I' m sorry to tell you but there is no cure. Only waiting until the next season starts. I watched Copperas Cove lose to Lukin in 5a Region II finals, then lose to Alamo Heights in 4A Division I finals, then lose to Rosenburg Lamar in 4A Division 1 finals, then lose to Wylie in 5A Semifinals. All I could do it wait!!!!!. Now I have to wait longer since Cove lost in Round 1 to John Tyler. Waiting is not fun, when others are still playing, but nex year is only 9 months away!

I feel your pain, I was able to come back to work today but can't get my mind to work. Eyes are swollen and nose is red. My husband just doesn't understand, tried getting help but they just laugh at me. I just don't know what I am going to do. Nothing to do on Thursday and Friday nights but look at the walls.
I just can't get excited about rooting for another team.
HELP, I NEED HELP!!!!:Censor:

Its been a rough week but now I am beginning to come back to normal. I see that I will have a few visitors coming into rehab with me this week. I will guide them through the tough times. They will not have Thanksgiving Day turkey to help them through the blues like I did. I will be strong for them and we can morn over the past and celebrate over what is to come.

I have been out of commission for the past couple of days due to an excessive binge. I have now recovered and am up and functioning properly. I see that the Hurricane and Northshore Nations are not the only bigboys knocked off of the hill. Well, my condolences and we share your pain. It hurts bad now but it will ease in a few weeks.

:D I thought Fort Bend Hightower High School would win Division I.
Football is only a GAME, that we have all become addicted to as human beings. Fort Bend Hightower will be fine.

Yeah, and I can't stop checking on the scores to see who else has fallen victim to a better team.
Yes, Hightower will be fine...at least that's what my therapist says.
