The Bucs seem to be playing some great football as of late...don't know a whole lot about Taylor...

Sorry but that is all I heard this whole season... 18-5A is the weakest in Region 3... Went 2-2 (lost to Katy and Cinco Ranch) against 17-5A and went 2-0 against 19-5A

Brazswood may not have the top notch athletes like other programs but what they lack in that department the make it up in the execution department. This team will not defeat themselves at all, they will not make many mistakes, so you have to beat them out right. Good luck to both schools but I am going with brazoswood.

I'm a big proponent in strength of schedule so I will go with Bwood. Bucs' opponents went (79-54) while Taylor's went (60-68). Same record for both squads - plus throw in Brazoswood holding North Shore to 3 pts...Bucs win BIG!! (for the playoffs)

Bwoods head coach plays chess on the football field, he studies his opponent and he will put the players in position to win the game, I wil hate when this coach actually gets some athletes :(

You don't get where they are without athletes. I'm afraid you are mistaken about them not having athletes.

You don't get where they are without athletes. I'm afraid you are mistaken about them not having athletes.
I agree here with red here. We still grow some big ole boys down in Southern Brazoria County, don't we red? ;) And as for speed ... well just look at schools like Angleton. Spped all over the place. Yep, Bwood has their own athletes to ge the job done. They pull them from Clute, Richwood, Lake Jackson, Freeport, Brazoria, and maybe even southern Angleton and Liverpool. Plenty talent for all down there in lil ole Brazoria County. :D

Don't go by years past. They beat Blue Taylor and Blue Taylor SHOULD HAVE beat us.
Don't underestimate anyone, when you're in Round 3.

As a matter of fact, I DID see Alief Taylor play earlier in the season...not at all impressed.
Easy matchup vs. them if that game actually happens.

I believe Brazoswood wins this matchup with disciplined ball control offense.
score and grind the clock ... simple as that.
only question is ... do they have the defense to stop AT? I don't know much about AT so I can't speculate on that.

AT, can get hott and they have a pretty solid D. the 2 Rb's are good, if they get going, they might pull this 1 out. The Qb can get hott also. If brazoswood makes mistakes, AT will pull off the upset.

I was at this game today. Congratulations Buccaneers, on making it to the State Quarterfinals!!
Brazoswood has a very good Football team and I was very impressed.
Both RB's looked good. Very fast and elusive. Defensive line is rock solid. #42 and # 98 :notworthy. These boys, in particular, played great today.

yea, them Bucs is from my old 'hood ... well, they're on the wrong side of the river, but I used to hang out over there in my teen years. :) They have been known to play ball pretty good about every ten years or so. They have been making noise the last three years and I'm gald to hear it.

It's looks ripe for district 24-5A to meet district 17-5A for both the division one and two regional championships.
Our weak district has done pretty good so far and looks to continue play in Brazoswood at least. Cinco needs to get by Westbrook and Katy needs to do the same against LaPorte. Clear Springs has to find yet another way to win.

Sounds like Alief Taylor had chances but failed to score many times - and same as when we played them - couldnt stop the run
