That number should be topped on Thursday.

Thursday should be sold out easily if we brought 99.5% for Baylor. I'm going to camp out at midnight tonight to get my tickets tomorrow morning.

HTanks saw that aerlier. Was on the way home Saturday and switching between dave South and co. and the GREAT JJ Joe on the Baylor broadcast. Coming back from break the Baylor guys said that it was full after having a lot of empty seats to begin the game. Figured it would be high, but didn't expect quite a near sell out. 494 seats short. Kind of surprising.

Plugging ni the last Texas home crowd from two years ago, 88,25, that would give a$m an average of 77,312 or 93.60% for the year.

Fun with numbers:

Texas has averaged 101,175 fans at each of the six home games
% it's 101.05

Total number of fans in six games at DKR in six games = 607,049
Total number of fans in six games at Kyle in six games = 452,931

If the Texas game matches the largest crowd ever, the total for seven games at Kyle would = 541,184 or 65,865 less tickets sold thatn at DKR for one less game. Thinking about that from an economic standpoint is huge. At an average ticket proce of $75, it's basically $5M less without having the expense of an added game.

Haha agreed. Go play online poker or something... as much as I do love your passion for A&M attendance it is kind of strange.

a$m comes in at #16 for average attendance. Lower % wise than any other team above them(except USCin the cavernous Collesium), but basically right there with everyon 16-20.

Interesting, had they averaged a sell out up to 102.43% of capacity they woudl only jump to #14. Without a significant expansion they are slotted in that range.

A couple of schools that surprised me with a low %, FSU and Clemson.

There was a lot of talk that Leach put butts in the seats. May be true but still at 8th in the conference total attendance 6th in % of capacity. Colorado was virtually identical to Tech in both categories.

Overall the best (Big XII) fans year in and year out have to be Nebraska.

Four Big 12 teams ranked among the top 16 schools in terms of home attendance for the 2009 season, according to statistics released by the NCAA.

Texas set a conference record by average of 101,175 fans at six games at Darrell K. Royal/Texas Memorial Stadium. It marked the first time in conference history a school averaged more than 100,000 fans per game.

Nebraska and Oklahoma both ranked about 100 percent capacity at their stadiums and ranks 10th and 12th nationally. And Texas A&M checks in at 16th place.

Here's a list of the top 20 schools in average home attendance, along with the rest of the Big 12 schools from outside the top 20.

Just noticed that Alabama did not average a sell out per game.

That seems odd to me. Tennesse/USC make sense, but Alabama?

I also think they are using an old capacity for DKR. It should have come in at 101% capacity not 107%.
