Just got done watching it.... I think it is the greatest movie ever made. Inspite of the many times I have seen it, the ending sends chills up my spine and almost brings me to tears everytime I see it... I love that movie.

The scene where he is about to get to paint the ND helmets...and he slips and tells the chick he is a student at Holy Cross......

that is the problem with uppity people. I was going to say private school people, but there are people like that at all schools, just that at private schools I think that is 90% of the population. They feel they are better than you and they know it.

No kidding! I wanted to slap that girl... he showed her though... in that scene where he is in practice and she is on the sideline... he says "Do I know you?"... she gives him a second look of shock!

Before Rudy came out( so we didn't call him Rudy) we had a guy that was 5'2 and weighed 98 pounds that was on our team at Rider. That guy had more heart than anybody! Coach would let him cover kick offs and that was about it.

I usually played DE in flag football when I was in Delaware and one game I had sacks on back-to-back plays and all the guys on the sideline started chanting Rudy! Rudy! Rudy!

I liked the other time I had 4 sacks in the first 5 or 6 plays of the game and the QB looked at his whole team and asked them if they were going to block me!:D

Hmm, I think Rudy is by far the best sports movie ever made.. with Remember the Titans as a second. It is actually quite the opposite for me, I am a fan (After the horns) of Notre Dame because of watching the movie Rudy when I was little.

OMG when Slap Shot came out, my friend and I (we are still friends 30 years later because drill team girls stick together like glue!) went to see it and then snuck back in to see it like 3 times in the same day - it is a bit dated now but then so is Animal House and I still laugh every time. I liked the realistic camera work on Friday Night Lights but I thought Remember the Titans was a more "feel good" movie. Caddyshack was another one that we went to see in the theatres several times. "Be the ball Danny"!!

I did like Rudy too. Sean Astin gets on my nerves a bit (loved him in 50 first dates though). The problem is, I spend the entire time watching him to see if the rumor is true - that he is really Desi Arnaz, Jr's kid and NOT John Astin's. I think he is but then I'm a basic conspiracy theorist. If you go into fave baseball movies - it's a tie with me "Pride of the Yankees" and "Field of Dreams" hands down.
