This guy is going to have a season for the record books. A very special player indeed, that is why some are calling him V-mac.
This is the run I am always talking about against Tyler Lee. Without this run Lview loses big.

Let the video load by itself, you don't have to clock anything.

Great run by Vondrell, very poor tackling by a Tyler Lee defense that is normally much better than shown on that video.

Nope, I've never heard of that technique before. So, you're supposed to only go after one leg on the fifth try...I always assumed you went for both all the time...who knew? ;)
Welcome to the board elderplaya. I assume we'll have many more Ohioans coming over to talk about the Lee-Colerain game.
That clip does, in fact, show some horrid tackling, but it also displays Vondrell's toughness and his speed. That clip is certainly not indicative of the type of tackling you normally see in a Texas high school game. I'm sure the Lee players got to see that no less than 100 times during film the following week.

Go to the Lee-Colerain game. Maybe you can impart some of your tackling techniques to Coach Owens. Im sure you know way more about it than he does.
BTW...the type of tackling cops do when making an arrest, does not count. :D

Geeee.. I guess you didnt see your Ohio State title game when the Colearin "QB" -Goodman ran like 5 touchdowns right up the middle, around the edge and almost anywhere else and 95% of the time he wasnt even touched by a Mckinley player.. Please spare me anything about tackling...
I guess unless you're going to tell me that QB-Goodman is a better all around runner than Vondrell McGee ? Than I'm going to have to go laugh.
Tackling ??? Mckinley looked like they werent sure if they were suppose to be playing football or basketball in that Ohio TITLE game.
PS. Colerain looked like they didnt know how to tackle either when the Mckinley "RB"-Brinson took off for like a 50 yard touchdown run against the Mighty Colerain !!! I'm just wondering how a "RB" could take off against the mighty 2004 Colerain defense for a 50 yard touchdown run ? Heck, and that was with a Mckinley team that had a weak O-Line and pretty much "zero passing".

how come there are never any good running backs only defenses that don't know how to tackle? Whenever someone shows a video of a great runner everyone just says those teams just cannot tackle

I know.. its totally amazing isnt it. I forgot that in Ohio "rb" never gain over 2.5 yards on any carry because the tackling is so great.

Good run but had to be the worst tackling effort I've ever seen. Two of those tacklers are just trying to knock him down with force of contact while not attempting to wrap him up. HE gave that defense a valuable lesson! He kept his balance and torched 'em!

Some bad tackling, but more great running. The first defender does attempt to wrap him up and he spins out of it. The next defender grabs him and and hangs on for life but Vondrell went with the push and was able to shake the defender. Then he jukes the DB.....and bye-bye. Most RBs would not have made the run.
