You can all thank me, I just saved you: Money, Gas (=Money also), Stress, Anxiety, and most importantly, the players from risking any injuries. :D

I just spoke with the UIL Commissioner, he said he would go ahead and give out the various trophies accordingly.

Okay, but seriously, just for fun (and due to a serious occurence of boredom in my dorm) I set up every match-up from the start.... and went all the way to the Championship game.

Luckily for everyone though, they aren't perfect obviously, and as of now, when I posted it, in accordance with the games that were played Thursday and Friday night, the computer is 18-5 in its picks.

I put dots next to the REAL winning teams so far, green if the computer got them right, red if it got it right.

Also, I must defend myself and all Allen fans.... in the computer, SLC only beat Allen by ONE point.... I believe it was 29-28..... so we'll be just fine. :D And the Allen/Nimitz score was 38-10.

But as everyone knows, thats why we play the games.
Hopefully no one takes this too seriously... just for kicks and giggles.

All I did was make the Div. 2 Bracket, then do all the match-ups one by one on MasseyRatings, then predict the winner of each game based on what MasseyRatings say.

Massey's and Calpreps does take alot of ragging from people for their computer rankings, but I have said this before and will say again, they are both very accurate on their game predictions...espcecially as the season wears on and the computer has more substantial data to use.

For example with Calpreps...It has gone 4646-1241 for the entire season, in all classes and thats 78.9% accurate for the season so far.

And while the score's both systems predict are not always correct (in fact it's hard to nail it perfect) it does have the winner correct a great percentage of the time.

No sir. I have a very good system for figuring the games. I just started this year and really have it tweaked pretty good now. It's just like an algorithm, except its not a computer program. I do the math freehand. I will do some games this week.

The sad part is, I didn't really get it going until the final 3 weeks of the pick em. It's not a flawless system at all, obviously things change drastically when wet weather plays a role, injuries, turnovers (though I try to factor those into it if possible) and penalties. Hopefully I'll have it pretty dialed in for next season.

Can somebody explain the massey ratings to me? I think these were released yesterday. First of all the top 4 teams are gone, second of all if SLC rates higher in the 4 categores why are they below Skyline? Maybe these are old ratings.

You need to talk to the same guy who can explain the BCS. Outside of that the only explanation you really need is that they are developed by some guy in California. That just about says it all IMHO.

Lufkin has become a bust when comes to bracket expectations the last 4 years. You won't need to worry about that the next couple of years either.

Looks like Massey is fairly right on with JT, Katy, Clear Springs and Abilene.

Three more weeks is all that is left guys.
