Was watching the 'Boys last night and though of this. What do you think of the two minute warning? It's only in effect at the pro level.
I view it basically as a rule implemented to try and get more exciting games. It's basically an extra timeout for whatever team is behind in the waning minutes of play. I am not sure I like the rule at all. Kind of manipulative.

I like it personally. It gives both sides a break, and, while manipulative - it gives both teams the reality that the end is approaching.
One thing I actually don't like in reverse - is stopping the clock on first downs in HS and college. With the obesity problem in America - it can take some of these lards 30 seconds to run 20 yards and re-set the sticks.

Very often, there is at least one side that doesn't want a break at all.
Like I said, I view it basically as an extra time out for whoever is down. Not sure I like it.

Sometimes it takes a higher figure to make you realize you need a break.
