Alright so I'm thinking it will be Woodlands vs Hightower in the end... I went against my initial Stony Point pick... and I'm torn. I want to say Woodlands but I don't want to deny Hightower...

I wouldn't sleep on Desoto. They are battled tested and will be looking for revenge against Skyline. Let's go 11-5a!!!:D

yeah, i have them at quarter finals with woodlands slipping by... and then killing trinity in the semi finals.

I really dont think north shore should be counted out, yeah they arent on fire like normal, but they will still pose the stiffest of competition, i know some dragons that would agree, that defense is still very solid...

a few bad nights is all..

I am a college park fan, my heart says woodlands, but the deeper they go, the defensive speed is probably going to catch up to their offense. so i say northshore will win it.

NOBODY has "killed" Trinity this year...not even the #1 and #2 teams, both nationally ranked.... Just ain't gonna happen...You may wake up from your dreamworld now...The fog has lifted.

Just to go on record here because many of the Woodlands fans are not going to believe this...my brackets show the Woodlands as the D1 champs. I know, I know, unbelievable for me to. Should have seen my finger shaking as I pushed the button on my mouse...:D
I did too cougman...not sure about Skyline though. TW may not get by them. I picked them (GHA pride and all) but Skyline looks to have the advantage statistically.

I know what you mean...Skyline looks good. I haven't seen them play but I think Woodlands is finally putting it all togather at the right time. Lasco is a beast and their passing attack is pretty darn good.

I guess more than anything I had to go with my gut feeling and give it to the Woodz...

I voted Skyline but think Trinity has equal chance. I don't know all the schools outside the metroplex so no disrepect intended. I have seen NS. If the team that beat Carroll shows up they have a shot. They have lost some games though and their playoff history does not favor a deep run. But hey what do I know. Good luck to all.

Trinity is one of my favorite teams based on the type of offense they run and the quality of defense but I think, looking at their records, Skyline will be to much from them. Trinity does have a passing game that has been missing in years past so that could be a wrinkle.

If the north shore team that played slc is there, North shore, no doubt. If the team that played Katy shows up, its a toss up, but we will probably come out on top. If the team that played Bwb arrives, goodbye North shore.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it will be the winner of the State Championship game.

I would pull a homer and say Hightower but I don't think they are playing at that level yet.

whoa now. the winner of this game will decidedly play Trinity, Skyline, or The Woodlands so let's not assume the title off of a quarterfinal match up... but yes, i do like the canes' chances against North Shore, i just think it is a toss up.

i have to ask you, what can north shore put on hightower that the canes' are not ready for?

i think it will be a good game, but i have a hard time seeing north shore rack up a lot of points against Hightower's strong defense.

After our first game with them I believed North Shore had a great chance but they dropped a game (I know in miserable rain) to PAM and then Beaumont Westbrook beat them last week end. That one really caught me by surprise. They did however beat SLC and when their defense is on they are very difficult to score against....still, I'm thinking they are getting banged up and frustrated and that Hightower will pull it off in a narrow victory.

Sorry North Shore, I'm really a huge fan...

yeah, i think it will be a narrow victory also, but i do not know what north shore can bring offensively that hightower cannot prevent.

i know both teams have good defenses, but i think hightower has the upperhand as far as their offense goes in this game.

Northshores inconsistency will be its downfall, granted they were tested pretty hard in the beginning of the season but since they have dropped some games that most people thought would be battles but North Shore would win - and that turned out to not be the case.

On the other hand HT's penalty calls could be its downfall. The offense seems to slow in the redzone, while the defense seems to pick up on the other side of the field. Regardless, HT pushes hard and bangs out convincing victories.

Woodz is who i would like to see make it to the Finals but they have an extremely bumpy road by the way my bracket played out: Klein Forest R1, STP R2, Garland R3, Skyline R4, Trinity R5 - If they survive that, I have no doubt they will win it all, now thats what you call battle tested!

Well I have to give the defense part to North Shore. They are fast, big and brutal when they hit! Offensively, I agree with you. I think Hightower has the edge.

As some have said, if the North Shore that played SLC shows up this will be a slug fest.

Very physical, tough defense. Powerful offense running and throwing. Very fast on both sides of the ball and very good coaching.

The Woods has a great chance at winning the title:) But its a very very long road ahead until the state title game! I would like to see Skyline get upset, and You less triniity get upset also:) But we will see:) I love the :Censor: playoffs:)
