Instead of each team and game how about we keep this all in one thread?

Here's my take on our district. Anyone from 15-5A that wants to give us a breakdown please have at it.

D1 #1 seed: Stony Point is a big, fast team that can score at any time. They have a fast and experienced defense that is very tough to move the ball on. Three of their four defensive backs are D1 players. All three of their LB's are two year first team all district players. Their Dline is very athletic. Offensively they have serious weapons at the skill positions. I don't say that lightly. I mean serious.

D1 #2 seed: Westwood is a very solid team that doesn't have all the weapons Stony Point has, but they have a great tailback who's committed to Utah Princton Collins. They have a VERY good offensive line that are almost all two year players. They have a very sound defense.

D2 #1 seed: Cedar Park (our team) is much better than the team that played cy creek last year in many ways. We are better on the oline, better at QB and receivers, not quite as good in the backfield but we are more diverse there. On D we are much better than last year in all phases. Our strength as a team is running the ball behind an enourmous offensive line that has at least 3 D1 linemen including a US Army All American in Dom Espinosa.

D2 #2 seed: Leander is a tradition rich playoff team with dynamic playmakers in Jonathan Hinderson and Ricky Harper. Their defensive line is the best in our district (IMO). Their defense overall is very fast with strength in the secondary and dline. Their offense has a very solid oline much like Westwood's, and dangerous players who can score from 80 yards out any time.

None of this is secret info, your coaches will all know this stuff times 10. This is a good forum to give us fans some things to look for and players to watch. Dont' be shy!

The only thing that I can tell you is that it will be a family affair for the Harper's. Two good football players will face off against each other next week. I am also glad that Creek does not have to drove to the Round Rock area.;);)
