The drum line gave excellent protection allowing the tenor sax to get wide open. :D

color guard provided awesome downfield blocking too. The BIG guys blew it away as well (tuba section).

Can't blame either the bands or the drill teams for the length of tonight's extneded extravaganza in Lewisville. The responsibility for the 45 minute halftime festivities clearly falls on the Lewisville ISD Administration this evening. :ninja: (even if it were a worthwhile cause; celebrating your exemplary schools is worthwhile. Just do it before the game.)

Carroll band started at the 22:00 minute for the Drill Team routine. They then started marching @ the 17:00 minute mark. @ the 7:30 minute mark they were off the field. Total? right @ 15 minutes.
Also, please notice the band played 3rd/4th Q, with playing occurring when the other team was on offense. TEAMme.

Much as I loved the competition show this year, I cannot WAIT to see the playoff show! Son tells me it's better than Lids.
We've seen quite a few bands' playoff shows, and none compares to Carroll's, in my humble opinion. I hope we'll get to see it about six times or so this year.

Six repeats would be nice, but perhaps we are better of, band et al taking this one game at a time. We find ourselves in a division and region that is absolutely loaded this season.

It has been a really good show in the past, and I am sure this year will be great also.

A truely proffesional outfit. I wish we could get some of those qualities in our dead weight called the Trinity Band.

It may not be dead for much longer.

Casanova has us on the right track. We have actually gone to BOA the last two years.

I care less about being in tune and more about being on cue. Know what I mean?
Trojanalum693
05-07-2010, 06:25 PM
Kind of. Explain? If you mean you would rather have a band playing together and on time than sounding better in tune then yeah i know what you mean.
I wish that the band would play really really really loud when the opposing team is on offense in order to distract them.

I mean I would rather have a band that knew to play loud on defense and during goalline stands or 3rd and 4th down during the oppositions possession. I could care less how they sounded - timing and volune at football games would mean a huge upgrade in my mind

Yeah that would be nice, but Trinity's band hasn't done that for quite sometime. It would really help the team out if they did that though.

It would be awsome :)

The crowd needs a break sometimes. It would be nice if the band could give it to them by making some noise on huge 3rd downs.

Yeah and I usually lose my voice by the end of the first half.

My voice and my wife's ear drums usually go simultaneously

Sometimes I can't even sit by my mom because I embarass her with my yelling and criticicms of the team and especially the refs.
I got in big trouble during the Plano game. My mom almost got up and left. My dad was about to smack me during that game. But he wasn't much better about his yelling than I was. Except I was cussing and stuff like that.

05-13-2010, 04:12 AM
We should sit together. But please don't cuss by my wife :D.
I'll make sure we let her sit somewhere else - she probably won't mind since I embarrass her :o
Trojanalum693
05-13-2010, 06:04 PM
Yeah we might have to do that. It would probably make my mom and your wife both feel better. I won't curse in front of your wife though.
da hawaiian
05-14-2010, 12:14 AM
Thankyou, then maybe we can all sit together once. I don't buy season tickets, Can't bare the thought of getting stuck in the same lousy seats all season long. Showing up early has always done me good
Trojanalum693
05-14-2010, 04:22 AM
Yeah me too. I usually sit in the section next to the band or in the student section.

I get as close to the 50yd line as I can. I try to sit higher up for good veiwing angle but my wife likes to be up front to the action
Trojanalum693
05-16-2010, 09:03 PM
Yeah I like to sit up as high as I can as well. When you are down real close it is hard to see all of the action.

Especially if you like watching the trench play, or even watch coverages
Trojanalum693
05-17-2010, 03:43 PM
Oh yeah. And I pay attention to both of those very closely. Because that can be the difference in what happens on a play.
