i hear ya', but in defense of the crowd, that is unlv section. The stadium was not full Sat but it was loud and everyone had fun beating down the rebs. I guess if tt wanted to come play, the place would be full, but still a Frog beatdown of the raiders. ;)

To be honest with you.....I don't know. LOL! The only time it really gets close to being full, is when there's a big game. I believe it sold out when BYU came to town last year, and I expect it to be close to that against Utah.

I would have gone to this game and supported them, but had already paid for symphony tickets. TCU is playing great football and needs support from their fans. In the future, Gary Patterson might consider leaving to a program that can put 3 times as many in the seats, enjoy it while you can.

was going to, did you not see that? But had already paid for season tickets to the symphony the wife pointed out, and was committed. I am not a grad of TCU, just like the program and wanted to give support. I will go when I don't have a paid commitment and no HS football. OK, just a misunderstanding. In fact, I may have my little one going there, she has applied and is awaiting admission and scholarship info. Along with 6 or so other schools. Best offer/best school combo wins. (I'm hoping local so I can see her more often). And we will get season tickets if she is local.

Hope TCU makes it to qualify for a BCS Bowl games this season. It will take a miracle or two for them to get to the championship game, however. But the photo above does illustrate a potential problem. While bowls are interested in securing good teams to play in their events, they are a bit more interested in having the hotels and restaurants full in the communities hosting these things. TCU fans, do yourselves a favor, get out to the games and fill that stadium. You will be much more likely to get an otherwise deserved invitation if you have a reputation for traveling well.
I see a potential problem here for TCU and Boise: USC.
USC is out of the drivers seat in the Pac 10 and if Oregon takes care of their business the rest of the season Oregon will play in the Pac-10 BCS bowl. The problem here, however, is that USC did not drop out of BCS bowl contention and will certainly creep their way back into the top 10 as teams continue to drop out. I can't imagine Boise State or TCU being selected as an at-large bid over USC so that makes the race for the top ranked non-BCS team even more important than it already was.
TCU has a tougher remaining schedule and should hold their lead in the polls but if Oregon wins out that is going to be a huge boost for Boise. It's going to be close.

Yeah and Alabama didn't see the bus that was Utah run over their butts in the Sugar Bowl.
Texas is offensively challenged this year...no good runningbacks and only one dependable reciever.
Colt is good, but he can't do it all. TCU plays better defense than TT or OSU.
They could easily be a BIG 12 team. Patterson is the best coach they have had in decades.
If Texas makes it to the title game they will have their hands full against Florida or Bama.
I have been following UT football since 68, so I've seen a lot of Texas football. This is one of the weakest offenses that a top ten Texas team has ever had. colt makes chicken salad out of chickenfeathers. You have to give him credit for that.

Everyone keeps saying this...
Texas is #1 in scoring offense. Sure, it could be better, but I don't understand why people continue to say Texas is struggling offensively. They score the most points in the nation.
And I have no problem saying that Florida or Alabama will have their hands full with Texas.

Just going by the eye test. Been watching them for over 40 years. The big 12 defenses are not what they once were. I believe the spread offenses are still ahead of the def. coordinators ability to deal with it. I remember when no one could stop the wishbone. It took about ten years for the coaches to learn how to stop it. someday the spread will fall out of fashion, as soon as the coaches catch up to it.
The runningbacks that mack gave scholarships to should give some of the money back... they suck. Colt is special, that is the only reason they are scoring. Shipley is the only consistent reciever. 05's Texas team would murder 09's. If all the stars lined up TCU could do to Texas what Utah did to bama last year.

I'd sure hope they get to one of them. Patterson has continued to do a great job here in Fort Worth, and this week's game against San Diego State, was a trap game. Teams can be due for letdowns, before, and the week after, they play tough opponents. The 'Frogs are picking up steam as the season goes on. Utah up next week!

TCU would beat both Cincy and Boise St. It wont matter about Cincy because they will get beat before the season is out. Boise St isnt even in the discussion. Their truly riding on a weak schedule and a win against Oregon who just got punked back down too earth by Stanford yesterday.
TCU is a top #4 and on any given day I would put them up against Texas, Florida and Bama and they would give them a tough game that would go 4 quarters.
TCU beats Utah this week they and dont slip up along the way they have a strong argument for playing in the NC game.

I know they can beat Cincy and Boise State as well. Although I did pick Oregon to win yesterday, I laughed when they lost to Stanford.
The 'Frogs definitely have the defense to compete with 'Bama, Texas, and Florida. Not sure if they'd beat them though but, as it was said earlier, that's why they play the games. I got Florida and Texas in the national championship game and, if TCU wins out, and 'Bama just loses to Florida, then we just may get to see the 'Frogs knock heads with the Crimson Tide.

Ya, rematch of the Texas State Title Qb's would be neat. I dont see Texas losing out however (Never know) and if they go undefeated they will play in the National Title game.
Probably isnt going to happen but I would love to see Florida & Bama slip up somewhere and TCU and Texas play in the National Title game.

TCU coach Gary Patterson was not happy with how his defensive unit looked in practice last week before the Utah game. The No. 4-ranked Horned Frogs surrendered a season-high 28 points to the Utes, which didn’t sit well with Patterson despite the Frogs’ overwhelming victory.
This week, as TCU prepares for its 1 p.m. Saturday game at Wyoming, the defense has done nothing to allay Patterson’s angst.
"We just had two of the worst practices we’ve had all year," Patterson said. "I can tell you right now we’re in a lot of trouble defensively. Two bad practices."
The TCU defense ranks fourth nationally and held Utah to 284 yards — 127.3 yards below the Utes’ average and only 39.1 yards more than TCU is allowing a game, but the 28 points was too many for Patterson.
"Last week after practice Wednesday and Thursday defensively I wasn’t too happy with how we played and it kind of showed — we gave up 28 points," he said. "A little bit of that was Utah. I expect [the defense] to bounce back and play a better ballgame this week."
ESPN again
For the third time this season TCU will have a significant presence on ESPN College GameDay.
A crew for the Saturday morning program taped a miked Gary Patterson for the first few periods of Wednesday’s practice for the show’s Wired segment, which profiles a coach and shows him at work with his team.
Last week the program profiled Arizona coach Mike Stoops.
"Hopefully we won’t get jinxed," Patterson said after practice. "Mike Stoops was on last week and they got beat by Cal."
Injury update
Strong safety Colin Jones, who has missed the past two games, did not practice Wednesday.
Key stats
42Career wins the Frogs’ class of 13 seniors will have if TCU wins its final two games. This group of seniors would overtake last year’s class, which won 41 games from 2005 to ’08.
43The predicted high temperature Saturday in Laramie with a 20 percent chance of precipitation. Forecasts call for a low of 21 degrees.
