Haven't heard Longview vs Waco around these parts though. However I know Lee is now playing Lake Highlands. Maybe a switch?

Try because we have so much trouble getting teams to play us early in the season. Check the history rookie, Trinity nondistrict's usually ranks among the toughest in the state very year. Who the hell is Consol playing?

Yeah we had our worst season ever last year..........but this team was mostly sophomores. Remember the name Jared Salubi............also we got a little surprise coming for all...and his last name is Fite. Some may remember that name......

Dude, were you even at the ACM/Waco game last year? They had a lot of young talent. I look for them to make a run in the 4A playoffs next year. Might even be the biggest turn-around in the State. If it wasn't a for an on-side kick and a few circus runs-after-catch by Detron Lewis, we go home with a loss. I'd be careful to not take the Lions lightly this year. Didnt they take Cove into an OT or two?

Louis Fite is his dad.........Fite was leading 5-A rusher in 1990.....he was known for doing front forward flips over defenders and landing on his feet. Was nominated for an ESPN ESPY award in college.

I made a mistake tho..his son's name is John Hubert. Don't ask me why it's different. I have no clue.

Just as TrojanHorse03 said, Trinity has trouble getting teams to play them in preseason.
Any team who started mostly sophmores last year is a team to be reckoned with for the next two years.

not really. Like the quote that ddaddy said from the rice coach when rice was returning all 22 players from an 0-11 team. The good news is there are 22 returning starters, the bad news is they went 0-11

Waco will do well this year especially in 4A. They better watch the DAWGS but that may be the district title match if all goes as planned. IF Cove and Waco do not make the playoffs together i will be very surprised.

yea but if you just won state, why would you schedule to play a team that was 1-10, why not try to schedule a team like southlake or something,someone that seems more of yalls caliber,not talkin down on waco cause they nearly beat us but it seems strange for a state champion to schedule a game against a team that was 1-10,makes no sense

Dependign on coaching and a little luck it can make or break a program and if its a measuring point it will set you up to work on things to get ready for district play.

Just my opinion.
