Is this true? College Park will make the post season with a win over Conroe?

Can somebody please confirm? Or is the article inaccurate? They're in with a straight up win over Conroe?

Next Friday Conroe will take on College Park at Buddy Moorhead Stadium with the winner advancing to the playoffs.


I was under the impression that in a 3 way tie, they take the pts diff in the head to head between all 3 teams. Which means TWCP will have to win by +25. Is that not right? Do they take the overall pts diff instead?

OK. So they only look at the margin of victory and not the pts differential. It doesn't seem right, but ok I guess.

Regardless of how next week's game plays out TWCP's biggest concern right now is the future direction of the football program. Carson needs to make some drastic changes. First order of business is to install a system (and coaches) that's going to want the area's 2nd tier talent to play for. If we get those kids, we will at least be competitive. It's a given TWHS will always get the 1st tier guys. Not much anybody can do about that. But at the moment, kids would much rather be 4th stringers in The Woodlands and ride the pine all year than play for College Park. A close second is to get the students and community excited. There's virtually zero excitement being generated in the community about this program. And that is unacceptable. This community is big enough to have 2 football teams they can get excited about. Winning will probably take care of some of that. But marketing to local media and businesses is absolutely necessary.
