1. 7-5A - the most complete district top to bottom
2. 3-5A - Always good every year and should be better than last year
3. 5-5A - One great team at the top, then a few decent teams and but some bad teams at the bottom
4. 8-5A - Rivals 7-5A for most talent filled district and should rebound from down year last year
5. 6-5A - Carrolton Schools are weak but Lewisville schools are nothing to mess with
6. 4-5A - Summit and North Crowley are the only teams that stick out
7. 2-5A - Unproven
8. 1-5A - Unproven

Yeah I was referring to Hebron/Flower Mound who should be good, and Coppell should also be good. 4th playoff team will be whoever decides to show up

7-5A will be fun for football...I expect to see a dogfight between SGP, ET, and IMAC for 1st-3rd and a really great battle between Nimitz, Irving, Bell, and Jesuit for that 4th spot.

Basketball will be fun as well...though this district really isn't very strong--it might get swept in bi-district.

I think that Jesuit will dominate the country-club sports, though.

The district is actually very strong in basketball. The teams at the top are so good they beat eachother up. But Irving is a legitamite state champion contender. Us and Trinity are at the bottom of the district :(

But for football this should be great. I don't know much about our newcomer Jesuit but they aren't bad I know that. And don't under estimate Grand Prairie they return just about everyone. The only lock for a playoff spot at the moment in my opinion is Irving Macarthur but after that the remaining 3 can go to anyone. One thing for sure no team will be an automatic win like Grand Prairie was.

a famous quote from a late seventies rice coach when asked about his returning starters from last years 0-11 team,"the good news is we have 22 returning starters. the bad news, those 22 returnees were 0-11 last year". may gp can pull a plano.

The thing about GP's players is that they are all very talented and skilled, only thing they lack is size. But give them another offseason and they can become a lot better. Most of the play basketball and run track too. Although some of their strategies were questionable, such as lining up the punter 4 yards off the line of scrimmage. This just allowed Malcom Williams to catch the ball of the punter's foot and run about 50 yards for a touchdown, we also blocked a punt too for a safety.

I dont agree with blueraider11 very much but I too think that Grand Prairie will surprise. There's no doubt they have a good coaching staff, and the talent will eventually catch up.
