De La Salle in 2007
Halfway down in this article (http://www.dfw.com/mld/dfw/sports/high_school/13774710.htm)
9:20 a.m.
The Carroll Dragons are still open on Week 1, but the rest of their non-district schedule is in place: They’ve got Rockwall week 3, and the site is still being determined. But week 2 will catch your attention:
Carroll is hosting Louisiana powerhouse Evangel Christian at Dragon Stadium. More on that later.
9:50 a.m.
Carroll coach Todd Dodge gave me the particulars: The Evangel Christian game will be on ESPN. Since Texas schools can’t do one-year contracts, that leaves the Dragons with an even more stellar opponent in 2007.
The Dragons will be playing national power Concord De La Salle, Calif. tenatively at SMU’s Gerald J. Ford Stadium. ESPN will also televise.

Your being too kind. I would've said 150.

Even with all of the question marks, I just cannot believe Dodge would schedule it unless he liked his chances...
I'll leave it at that...

In 07 our Sophomores are going to be loaded..the depth on that team will be off the scale!

this year's team is going to be almost all juniors on offense. I am not sure on defense, but I think that group will have a lot of juniors as well.

What were the records of the 2 JV teams? I assume you are refering to the 9th graders when you mean 07 sophs? Only bad part there is that they won't be(for the most part) on varsity...
Fill me in!!! Am I wrong?

I've been told by a bunch of our players that we have Southlake on the schedule for non-district but they are probably wrong. I'll have to confirm/deny this

the JV team this year I think lost a couple of games, but the coaches did not go for the win. There were like 50-60 players on that team and in the four games that I saw all of the kids played. I did not see any of the losses, but I assume that all the kids still played, because there were two close games that I saw where everybody played. I have heard that the freshman this year are not very good, but I did not see them play at all this year.

they are probably wrong because as of 10 am Carroll's coach Todd Dodge told a reporter that Carroll had to get an opponent for week one, but all the other spots were filled.

Actually, I'm referrring to our 8th graders of this year, who will be sophs in 07. Carroll Middle was never threatened at all and Dawson lost one game other than the beating they took from Carroll Middle...this class will be very good...and some of these kids will see some playing time in 07

there are some big boys growing up at the high school. Seen some rather large males in the halls, Oline might not be too much of a problem minus the Varsity starting experience.

b/c of the traveling and what not?
sometimes i dont mind traveling, other times i do..like when we went to SFA, i didnt mind that at all..but when we went to waco in 04, i hated that..so depends i guess on the 'mood'
but im sure CISD, is pissed off at the money and what not..surprised in the 'bond election' theres no stuff to add to the stadium or something

They were more upset about losing a home game. The travel and other costs were paid for by the booster club.

the only money made from the classic type games that we had were the presales. They make some money at the Texas Stadium games too.

so if you buy tickets through the schools, Carroll ISD gets that money..other than that they make none

for the games at the classics and I think playoff games. The School district makes most from the home games
