I thought this deserved a thread of it's own.

SLC had 13 college signees this year with 10 being D1; by far the most ever for them.

WR Evan Fentriss, 6-1, 185, Rice
WR McKay Jacobson, 6-0, 185, BYU
WR Clint Renfro, 6-0, 160, TCU
WR Corbin Smiter, 6-3, 205, Rice
OL Justin Drescher, 6-2, 245, Colorado
OL Michael Prince, 6-4, 280, Missouri
OL Aaron Stacy, 5-10, 235, E. Central Okla.
LB Patrick Benoist, 6-0, 210, Vanderbilt
LB Trey Reece, 6-2, 205, Penn

I would say that is the most in Texas since Lamarque had 11 Div1a's in 2003. I am sure that is in the top 5 in the nation at least.

Bobby Burton, I think it was, said it was the most D-1's from any high school in the country...

That does not surprise me considering Texas produces by far the most div1a athletes each year. If you are #1 in Texas you are probably #1 in the nation.

That is not always true, Alot of times Long Beach Poly has the most because they can recruit all of LA and bring in the best kids from an entire city. But Yes I have hear the samething they have the most this year. Great Job SLC!

I read somewhere that there was once 25 D1 kids on Long Beach Poly for juniors and seniors combined. I think that was the year that they played De la Salle on television.

Hmm... Jacob Kirkpatrick (Tyler Lee) played only 1 year for football and he is already getting signees with TCU!! ain't that amazing for 1 year football going to Division 1!?! He will be with Clint Renfro.

I saw a couple of REL games this season. I focused in on Jacob Kirkpatrick many times (because I knew it was his first year) and I thought he was very solid. Big kid (6-3/270) range and very quick on his feet. I had a feeling that he might get a D-1A offer. I wont be surprised to see him end up being a multi year starter for TCU.:)

PS. I guess Preston Hill didnt get any offers.

Does anyone know what happened with Boydston? He was arguably SLC's best defensive player ths year.
