These are the same schools that have played each other for years and adding Wylie. At least we know where the stadiums are. Wylie is biulding a new high school sopposedly opening in 08.

Yes but also Richardson and Pearce will be new opponents as well as Wylie.

we played Richardson for years. That is who burned Clark field in 82. (or 81)

Allen will probably be the favorite heading into the season.(in my mind they are), but then again most people have had them the favorite the last three years and only one of those was a district championship...

I remember Allen always being the favorite the last few years that RISD, PISD, and Allen were in the same district. Although, a lot has changed since then.

9-5A is one of the best districts in the state IMO. There really are 6 or 7 good teams that could contend for a playoff spot. Will be probably be one of the only distrcits that can actually send 4 quality teams to the playoffs. Should be a good year.

It's times like these when 4 playoff spots per district is a good thing. There are so many rivalries that standout in my mind right now.

Plano and PESH
Berkner and Lake Highlands
PESH and Allen
PESH and Plano West

Not to mention with Wylie coming in, more rivalries may form.

My prediction for the 4 playoff makers are (in no order):
Plano
PESH
Allen
Berkner

I agree, but LH and maybe PWSH could easily take a couple of those spots away.

I don't know anything about Wylie, and I don't see Richardson HS having that competitive edge to grab a spot.
