THe Miami-FSU/Texas-ou streak is over. Since '97 is Florida State won, so did Texas. If Miami did so sis ou. One of the most odd trends out there, but it's done.

Year Winners

If the 28 points KSU scored in 2 minutes 12 seconds isn't the record, I'd like to see it. Absolutely crazy
So FL beats LSU 13-3 and it's two great teams going at it. Texas beats ou 16-13 and it's a slop fest. SEC bias or truth?
Can Tech get back to the top 15? top 10? Is Potts done for good?
Does anyone want the Heisman this year? Could it be the year it goes to a defender?
Texas leads the nation in scoring offense. Sixth in total defense and first in rushing defense. Scoring defense is 15th. Not a lot of running teams the rest of the year. #1 for the year?

Always remember - Charles Woodson> Peyton Manning

Can we just shoot the Heisman already - it's pointless.

colt 4 heisman.

He has the stage to do something now the next two weeks. With nobody stepping up, and he goes off, why not?

I hope he's over his "cold" before trophy time. :)

Tim Tebow. He doesn't need to step up or even put up decent numbers to win the heisman. He went 11-16, 134 yards, 1 interception, and 1 touchdown against LSU and ESPN voted him unanimous #1.

I would say that Claussen has had the better acse for the Hesiman at this point between him/Tebow/Colt.

Season is only half over.

Colt is at 70% completion. 11 Td's and 7 picks. IF he goes off the next two weeks on National TV, and wins 5/6 games, he would be the ALL TIME winningest QB in NCAA history.

That being saud, he does have to do those things to be considered. He would probably get a sympathy invite right now, but no way can I see him winning with what he has done so far.

It's too bad that this has become the "best qb for an nc contender" award, because the best player in CFB might very well not be a qb this year.

As far as right now, I submit Mark Ingram: 905 rushing yards, 6.7 ypc, number 3 in the nation in yards, playing for the best team in the land.

Truth

Oklahoma and Texas combined for 8 Turnovers and 21 Penalties for 228 yards

I would rather see Colt win the Heisman over Tebow...

Right now, since it's obvious OU isn't playing in a good bowl anymore, I would like to see a team from the Big XII win it all... even if it is a hated rival. I'm tired of the Big XII being pushed around.

so if it was lsu and florida that combined for 8 turnovers, it'd be great ballhawking defenses right??

Truth

whereas LSU and Florida combined for 2 turnovers and 15 penalties for 109 yards.

LSU is clearly the third best team in the SEC. They are ranked #9 in the BCS. The Big XII's second and third highest rated teams are ranked #15 and #25, respectively, in the BCS.

The more you Big XII guys argue against the SEC, the deeper your hole gets.
