So for the last few months there have been major talks online about Verizon Wireless getting an Apple device soon. I find this hard to believe given the latest advertisements Verizon has launched.

Also, I was reading the comments on that youtube vid. ATT 3g is NOT 5x faster than Verizon's. CDMA is NOT easily hackable. He said "At&t - Unveiling 3.5G network coming early 2010"
Yeah, and Verizon is launching their 4g network (LTE) next year as well...
I do agree he might have a point that the iphone will not come to verizon, but I disagree that it's because of app store now. You can get Blackberry App World on all our blackberries now, so that proves that point wrong.

appworld is not even close to the app store in terms of usage, app availability, or sheer scale.

That's not the point.
Waiting for the Android 2.0 devices to pop up on Verizon this Christmas. Stoked.
I thought we were all waiting for the google phone(which I have), then the Palm Pre, and a host of Blackberry entrants to take over the iphone.....
Really it's kind of funny to watch.
The website feels like District 9 all over again.

The google phone is the biggest piece of crap! I have some friends that have it and I tried playing with it for a little bit....NEXT
The Palm Pre looks nice, but I have yet to find something that beats the iPhone.
The G1 is ok, just a bit heavy. My wife has the mytouch and i like it better. Would go to the iphone, but we are tied to Tmobile.

You can use the iPhone on tmobile if you want to.

I understand that I can, if you are referring to jailbreaking it. I don't see the cost risk/reward benefit at this point.

I can show you how to get out of your Tmobile contract. I've done it TWICE without an early termination fee. :D

There is no cost besides the act of actually purchasing a phone and I'm not sure what the risk would be. Anything you do to the phone via software can be easily reversed.
