I feel it is my duty to inform the entire board of this breaking news.
It has been brought to my attention by several posters that...
If you are not a graduate of the school you root for...You are no longer allowed to do so. Your support is no longer welcome or wanted.
It doesn't count for anything anyway...so why do it?
I repeat you have to be a graduate of the school you support...or your voice will not be heard.
Thank you...
carry on.

Damn... I guess about 10 million UT fans have to stop being Texas fans now and just root for their High school teams and NFL team of choice.
Can I get my Texas tax money back that goes to support the Univ-Texas now ?

Without bowie's endorsement I would still be slumming in the ranks

I forgot I was a made man...
For all you hacks with no legitimate endorsement from a graduate of your school of choice...
The above rules still apply...

No...you need more than a tie...
You need a grad from that school to publicly endorse you
as a true fan...and take you in as one of their own.
Otherwise......................you are just a t-shirt fan.
Hey...I didn't start this...

I did not know about this rule. I would have done it a long time ago. I remember telling a couple people to shut up and quit calling you a t-shirt fan because you are a bigger fan of UT than some graduates, but I did not officially endorse you because I did not know I had to.

hahaha
I didn't know you had to either...
But in the past two weeks I have been told to shut up by 3 different posters....and their reason was...............That I didn't graduate from UT so I can't be a true fan...and I have no right to brag.
I know it's stupid...
Hence......an entire thread to point out how freakin' stupid it is...

Can calling somebody a T-shirt fan be construed as a personal attack and thus an immediate banning is an order

Wide, I have no problem with you rooting for t.u. , however, i must ask. Do you refer to the horns as "we".
My mom dad, bro and sis all go/went to A&M. I've been to parties thrown by my brother and other close friends. My brothers friends treat me as one of their own. I've been to 3 or 4 games. Am I qualified?

you are qualified. If you have been a fan of a certain school your entire life you are not a t-shirt fan. It is that simple. There are other ways too, but I assume you fall under that category. Anybody that does not play for the team should not refer to the team as we.

Oh thank goodness I think I qualify as a true fan. Does having 1 son, two nephews, 3 neices, and 2 cousins graduate from said school qualify? Plus, I did my time in the Booster Club, chaperoning school events, and attending events these grads participated in.
I've been a Texas Longhorn fan ever since I could say Hook'em Horns as a toddler.
