No one probably wants to talk about it, because it's probably not note worthy, but I'll say JT by 6 TD's at least.

Truth be told, my heart was saying "JT 66, Mesquite 7" but, I didn't wanna get too ahead of myself. LOL!

I really don't think we hit 60 this week...just saying... on yea..its already a thread on this game...A better question is...Greater margin of victory..Desoto over Lee or JT over Mesquite?? I actually think Lee keeps it close.

IMO They could make the score whatever they want it to be. Truth be told, they could probably hit 100 if they really felt like it.... so it all depends on how long they leave the starters in...

JT's pass defense will be on stage Friday night, unless Mesquite changes their game plan. It appears, Harper is a decent passer completing 54% for 1200 yards. He doesn't appear to be the runner Lufkin's Smiley is but he's big like Smiley. I hope we can do a better job of containing him than we did against Smiley if Harper starts to beat his feet. Getting a good pass rush will take some of the pressure off the smaller JT DB's covering 6'5 Paris and 6'1 Richards. I'm pretty sure Mesquite may try to use former Freshman QB Lanford on a trick play or two when he's on the field. Mesquite doesn't seem to have much of a running game but they could bow their backs and make an attempt to catch the Front7 off guard. On another note, JT Freshman are 5-1 and they didn't like losing to Horn. The JV started off district 1-0 with a last seconds defensive stand to seal the come from behind win against Horn.

JT should win this easily. Paris is overrated as a WR. Harper is good only if you give him time. Lufkin beat them 28-14 and played as poorly as they have played all year and it had nothing to do with Mesquite. Smiley played with a virus and was throwing up between series all game. Lufkin had 7 turnovers to 6 for Mesquite.

Right now i just want the defense to keep getting better and improving on technique and whatever the score is dont matter to me i just want the defense to play well and keep getting better. Because thats whats going to keep the bus rollin
