gotta go. Damn I get to where I hate him more every week. What a freaking marshmallow. What I wouldn't give to see a Cowher scowl on the Cowboy sidelines.:(

Why? Unless Jerry goes with him it will be the same old thing.

No good HC wants to come here because they don't want to be Jerry's *****.

Not true. Parcells was able to accomplish quite a bit and we got the tired, run down version. A Cowher or Shanahan would be just fine here.

I agree to a point about Parcells, but he even stated after he left, that Jerry was to much, becuase Jerry wanted to appear in control and even Jerry said that he didn't like not feeling a part of things the 4 years Tuna was here.
Here's to hoping and praying that when Shanahan gets here, Jerry will leave him the hell alone and let the man do his thing...I'm doubting that will occur, but I will hope and pray it does.

Lyrics to Cowboys theme song courtesy of the late, great Waylon Jennings:
" Its the same old tune, fiddle and guitar"
" Where do we take it from here?"
" Rhinestone suits and new shiny cars,"
" Its been the same way for years........"

If Jerrah doesn't wake up from this fantasy of his, He'll be leading this team straight to the $hi++er just like Al "seriously needing a freak'n image consultant" Davis has done with the raiders...:D

Look, as long as Jerry owns the Cowboys, you aren't getting Shannahan, Cowher, etc....you get a guy who will let Jerry call the shots....we just gotta get over it and hope Wade can work it out....sorry, but it's all I got.

Unless he can blow enough smoke up their arse to fool them into taking the job.
But, you are right, Jerry will call the shots. And, Wade ain't gonna work it out. He will just be here long enough so that Jerry can fire him and them con everybody about how great the next "coach" will be.

So is everyone assuming that Jason "Princeton didn't prepare me for squat" Garrett isn't next in line for HC when Phillips is shown the door?
I think Jerrah is too in love with JG to have him go anywhere but the HC job...BIG MISTAKE!

Ya mean they ain't already there? No playoff wins in how long? Since 12/28/1996. Oh and Jason Garrett will most likely be the next Cowboys coach, Jerrah will probably have to name him his next coach otherwise Jerrah looks bad signing Garrett to that big ol' contract to keep him from being a head coach somewhere else ;)

Don't let that influence your thinking. Jerry could sign someone else and put a spin on it that would make your head twist off.
It all boils down to whatever suits his personal interest. Remember, he has no shame.

Very good point... Some how I think that Cowher and Shanahan would be very apprehensive after reviewing the Tuna's tenure with Jerry. He said all the right things to Bill to get him here, and as Jerry has admitted, then reverted back to his real personality of being a control freak.
I think Garrett is toast... He'd probably make a very good college coach, but it doesn't appear he would make it as a NFL head coach.
