Tech should be able to handle K-State but it's going to be interesting to see if Sheffield will be able to be as successful as he was last week against NM.

He took the Texas loss pretty hard. He's still probably screaming illegal hit at his TV.

I think that question has been answered by Sheffield, former Connally Cougar I might add, who just threw his 7th TD pass of the evening.
7 TDs is a number his familiar with. He threw 7 TDs in a playoff game for the Cougars....was that in the first half?

He came to play. I'm wondering if Leach made a coaching boo boo and started to wrong QB to being the season.

He made one bad throw. Otherwise you can see what kind of touch he has on the long ball and how he can move around in and out of the pocket to extend plays. I was afraid he might have a 'sophomore slump' this game but he's obviously been doing his homework for the past 3 years and seems to know the offense and generally has made good decisions. Couldn't be happier for the guy.

I want Sheffield to start the rest of our games. I won't be happy if Potts comes out against the Huskers next week.

You misspelled the winners name. This would not be the case with the aggy game.

Didn't see the press conference but listening to the post game radio show they said that he did confirm it.

I'll put my thoughts into one post:
1. I'm giving thumbs down to Tech fan on the West Side and most of the student section for leaving at halftime. I don't care if its 38-0 or not.
2. As far as weather goes, it was colder in Amarillo this afternoon than Lubbock and it was a lot worse for temperature, wind, and rain when I was at the Amarillo-Lubbock Monterey game on Thursday in Amarillo.
3. It was just a weird day. I saw death driving in the parking lot at Amarillo High this afternoon. I figure he's about the only person who would want to be out in that weather!:D Not too much later, I saw a passenger in Amarillo wearing a burlap sack on his head. The best part was Spiderman at the Tech game. He was running around everywhere, but we got a great laugh when he got ready to leave 118. He wanted to look cool and jump the rail and we loved seeing him fall down!:p
4. That first half was the best half Tech has had in years. K-State only had 10 first downs for the game and about 160 of their 280 something yards came on 4 plays, with the 52 yard pass coming on a play when they should've called a block in the back.
5. I said it last week and it sure came true this week. Potts getting hurt was the best thing to happen to Tech. Sticks is just better and deserves to start the rest of the year and Level said after the game that he's now the starter. Tech will win with Sticks, but wasn't going anywhere with Potts. Sticks would've won in Houston. For that matter, I think he would've won in Austin.
6. Sticks starting is proof that Leach is trying to grow as a coach. He took a step when he fired Lyle in 2007, but he's always had this deal with not making QB changes. I wasn't at Fall Practice, but I bet Sticks should've started the year off, but Leach is too much like the 'ol Lyle adage of letting people wait their turns.
7. Clausen has the best QB rating at 179. Sticks has played in 3 games and his worst in a game is 190. His rating is 215 on the year with 11 TD's and 2 INT's playing 5 quarters and 2 series this year. He's averaging over 11 yards a pass with 75% completions, too.
8. The team just plays better with Sticks. He's been in the game for 19 series the last 2 weeks with 14 TD's and a FG. I'm going to Nebraska and I'm going to leave a happy man!:D
9. I'm glad the running game is looking a lot better these days.
