I hear Garland vs. Allen, and Waxahatchi vs. Highland Park. Are there three games?

I meant a surprise team, not a Tom Landry Classic participant. Although we played Allen in it two straight years and lost both when Todd Graham was there.

I expect one of the Mesquite teams to step up any day now. I would love to see Mesquite and Rockwall more competitive in 12-5a. Is it this year?

I would like to see how Hebron does in 5A. I think they will make a huge difference like Ryan did 2 years ago when they moved up.

dont worry about it. he lives in keller. hes just jealous that his team doesnt know how to play football. and i dont think slc will be considered a surprise team. im sure most people have them going to the playoffs, possibly quite deep into them. thats no surprise with the streak we're riding.

Trying not to be to much of a homer, but I think Rowlett, Sachse, and Garland Lakeview Centennial will have some stuff this year;)

I think the biggest surprise will not be a team that exceeds expectations, but a team that falls short. The Trinity Trojans in my mind graduated too much and will not have the playmakers they had this year. They will try to ride on their 05 success and learn that this isn't 2005. They will probably compete for a playoff spot but have no where near the season they had in 05. And with a very possible pairing in the same district as SLC, if they lose that(overhyped) game their confidence will be killed.
But if I had to pick a team that has a breakout season, watch out for the Grand Prairie Gophers. They return many players and have a good coaching staff. They have plenty of talented athletes and if they can just execute their plays they can be good.

I could see Seguin having a very good year. They return a solid defense and a offense with a year underneath them. I'd also look at SA MacArthur and SA Reagan. Both teams made jumps last year and Mac returns 15 starters from last years team (7 on D and 8 on O)

SV is a surpirse team every year. Quick name a kid on SV not named Trent Rios or Brian Hill... exactly... another 12-2 13-1 or 14-2 season will possibly happen again I mean why not? No one ever knows the kids on our team so I believe SV will be the surprise team I hope we arent even ranked in top 25 to begin the season its makes it that much more fun.

ill rephase, surprising to the anti-carrollists..how many of those kids thought southlake would make the playoffs?? NONE of those morons..i hope to see them after the regular season, seeing a playoff berth in southlake, and them sitting on the couch crying about sucking

Trinity doesnt have to ride the success of 2005, they are the type of program who just reloads. In case you have not been paying attention, last year was not the first year for them to contend for a state title. They have one of the best coaches in the entire state in Steve Lineweaver and he knows how to reload. Their confidence will not be shot by a loss to any team. Trinity will not only compete for a playoff spot, but will most likely makle another deep run.
