You gotta win these to move forward. Having said that, SMU - which should have lost to SFA - also beat down UAB.

SMU won by two points against UAB, so not exactly a beat down. They were not a good team, though.

By far the best thing about tonight was the defense. UAB had exactly one good drive against our starting unit, they scored a TD. The other TD came in garbage time in a long run against backups. They had two FGs that came after turnovers inside the 40.

C-Mike didn't play tonight. No reason to rush him back, but you could tell that our offense was missing something without him in the game. He's the type of workhorse that you can build your offense around. His future is really, really bright, I hope he'll be 100 percent against the Swine.
