Kansas game seems to be a lock to me. They have already made me some good money this year and will probably ride them to victory again this week.

I was thinking about Htown over Tech. Waiting to see over under on that one.

The single biggest lock of the week is Texas Tech over Houston. I said it before and it's worth repeating. I'm a fan of both Houston and Texas Tech and don't have any biases in my pick. I win either way in that game, but Tech has a better defense than Houston does and will win comfortably. Generally speaking, Tech is a easy team to figure out score-wise.

Tech has more talent and will come ready. OSU was overrated. Don't think for a minute that Houston beats Tech because they beat OSU. Tech will also beat OSU in Stillwater.

Both teams have a great offense, but Tech has a better defense.

meh ...maybe if you don't know how to manage your account... I look for a 200 gain take my money out and deposit again... I never bet more than 10 dollars on a single bet.

haha that is running cheap. I just bet games i have really good feelings about after doing the research. Problem a lot of people run into is they get caught up in the rush of betting/winning. Then they just want to bet every time there is a game on and get into trouble.

The three of these games I would feel strongly about are (1) Mississippi State + 12.5 against LSU, as I just don't think LSU is that good and I think MSU will give them a hell of a game in Starkville this time; (2) Virginia Tech + 2.5 against Miami, I know that Miami is now the flavor of the week among the bettors since USC has disappointed, but I think Miami is overbought, Blacksburg, VA is one of the very best home field advantages in the country, and I think Beamer is good for one TD versus Shannon, coaching-wise; and (3) I kinda actually like UNT + 6.5 at home against Middle Tennessee, don't ask me why but I do.

I hate Notre Dame, but Purdue is baaaaad this year. I can't believe that's only a 7 point spread. I would take ND and lay the TD there. But that's not part of my bet-the-home-dogs concept.

Not to mention even IF you lose money on stocks you still get some of the money back you initially invested. Drop $200 on the Cowboys to win the Super Bowl how much do you get back when they don't?

Besides all of that, I don't personally buy stock but I was given a large amount of Apple stock when I was a kid and that is all that I have. Still in school, don't have that kind of coin to be buying up stock.

I look at this way... anything you chance your money on... you're gambling... you are taking a gamble. You can have 1000 in your account but you don't have to bet the full 1,000... you can either gain or lose money with the same option of being able to pull all of your money out. If you ask me it's pretty much the same as you are hoping that a company succeeds and I'm hoping that a team succeeds.

Because I like the Beavers in this spot a lot. Surely this line is a little strange. I cannot see the Beavers dropping 2 in a row at home. They are not quitters by any stretch of the imagination, and when they take one on the chin, they can be counted on to strike back with a vengeance. I promise you that they are a little disappointed in their execution last week, having several opportunities to score within the red zone and coming away with just a FG or less isn't sitting well with them. Defensively you can count the blown assignments on your fingers on one hand but they were painful. I expect to see their defense turn up the heat. And I also expect to see a little creativity if they expect to spring Quiz and Quan consistently. They are well aware of what Zona brings to the table defensively.

Where is Zona's offense? If Scott is trying to find his rhythm and an identity, he's not likely going to find it this week. I am surprised that Zona's ground game has not been looking very good either. The Beavers are not the type of opponent where you would expect to see an opponent of theirs with rushing issues to get well. If Arizona is going to stay in this game, their defense must turn it up a notch or two. I expect them to put out an all out effort in that respect, perhaps holding Oregon St. to 20ish, not much more than that on the scoreboard. But they may not score more than a couple TD's themselves. I am also looking at betting a total in this game.

I don't know. I said for months in 08 that Tech would beat Texas.

I said all last week that Texas wouldn't cover against Tech.

Yeah, I miss a few point spread wise, but I have a pretty good handle on Tech.
