Dear, Servants of Tebow

I would first like to start this off by apologizing with great sincerity to my ignorance and rejection of your King. It was never my intention to come off as being a blasphemer of the one true light. I realize that the scope of Lord Tim Tebow is unrealized by us gentiles, and that we truly do miss the point. How could i have been so blind? A Man capable of saving and feeding millions of starving orphans with a single toss of a pigskin to a Receiver running a Fade route....or the grace that overflows from his majesty when he cross the goal line from 2 yards out.... Oh how blind i have been. The fact that i doubted how great he was hurts my heart...I hope that he doesn't shun me to the darkest corners of the earth for thinking that others like Colt McCoy or Sam Bradford could be held with in the same breath as his Graciousness. To reject a man responsible for the setting and rising sun....The morning and evening tides....the very man responsible for life on earth......The very guy responsible for crafting Leeann Tweeden....How wrong i was....oh how wrong i was.....

-HUM

PS. Perhaps at the next level...Lord Dodge, and Lord Tebow will unite for what can only be described as the End of time as we know it.
:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Your sarcasm has been noted and don't think for a second that this won't be documented. I hope your happy with your current employer because you won't be able to get a job as a garbage man now. It's on your record....THIS IS ON YOUR HEAD. Your big flippin' mouth has gone and done it this time bucko. When you wake up and see a bright shining light and get a glimpse of jorts and bright blue UF crocs....then and only then will you now just how bad you've screwed up.

Dude, i think i just saw what appeared to be a blur of Gator orange socks and some Jorts fly past my Office door......

I'm starting to hear this faint whisper "A lot of good will come out of this...you will never see a player in the entire country, beat you as hard as i will beat you the rest of this season...you'll never see a player push his fellow teammates to beat you, like i will...." Scary **** dude...scary ****

Don't lose a game, beat him in the national championship, then rag on him all you want. But until then, just shut up.

there are 2 reasons some idiots dislike tebow.

1-he wears the wrong laundry. if he wore the colors of the t-shirt you bought to support said team, you'd sing his praises on high.

2-he's a favorite of a group of media-morons who you probably despise intensely. so now the biggest doofuses in tv are making decisions as to who you like or dislike. seems reasonable for most of the idiots i have ever come in contact with, i guess.

Gotta say, the fact that McCoy and Tebow are still 1 and 2 on the ESPN Heisman rankings is just a sham and has no reflection on how either of them have performed this season. We got Javid Best who has more touchdowns than McCoy and Tebow, is averaging OVER 10 yards a carry, and he isn't even close to breaking into the top 2.

No doubt...Look at Jacory Harris as well. I'd be completely happier if Mack just told Greg and Colt to stop trying to win the Heisman and lets just concentrate on team goals, like winning a title.

Is there a less offensive name spin-off than Aggy? It's not like whorn or techtard which are actually somewhat insulting. At least put forth some effort and put the f at the beginning. "Aggy" just makes you look like you need to retake 4th grade English.

Don't know about that. Cal is very good...Alabama is every bit the top five team they are ranked. LSU's close win against UDub all of the sudden doesn't look so bad. I want to see the U against OU before I move them ahead of some of these more established teams. Miami is still young. Talented but young, and youth can mean mistakes.

Like him or not, for whatever reasons you choose, your team will still more than likely have to stop him to be holding the crystal football come January.

Youth can mean mistakes, but so far they have looked very sharp. The level of talent on those teams are astounding, and not to mention the pure speed. If this continues the rest of the season, Florida will not have such an easy time picking and choosing recruits in Florida.

I can totally relate when it comes to USC. I'm sure Pete Carroll is a good guy, and certainly fields a good team every year. However, if I were a betting man, I would bet a year's salary that Brett Mushburger has a poster of Pete on the wall of his bedroom.

The continued praise of PC and his mighty trojans by that guy makes me hate him.

I bet it hangs right next to Colt McCoy being from Tuscola Texas with Jordan Shipley in the back ground too. This past week was sickening seeing the boat scene and Mushburger go on and on and on about Colt and lets not forget the A&M game last year when Fowler could not shut up about the greatness of McCoy and how A&M was cheap and what not.

Plus as for USC being the greatest of all time, when they broke it down I believe they had a few teams beating that USC team. Such as the 95 Huskers and the '01 Miami Hurricanes. So they did not say they were the greatest of all time.

i was amused when, in the second qtr with the score 7-3, hornberger stated that after bthe opening fg by tt, the horns had dominated. dominated? maybe i missed something. i know a 4 point lead is plenty in soccer, but in this country's football 4 points is not generally the considered domination. maybe the horns had several long drives that died on the goal line. or maybe hornberger was really impressed by the punter who had some spin on his punt inside the 5. btw, poor hornberger really wanted to brag on the tx-ex son who was a punter, but he was flummoxed because he had on the wrong color jersey. he's still poring over that inconsistancy.

Sickening might have been the wrong word to use. It was funny, ironic any of those words right there. Because of people like Wide and Hum and others who have gone on and on and on without realizing that the same happens with Colt.
Thanks for pointing out that word to me though Pied, wrong choice obviously. Nothing is sicekning about Jordan or Colt. They like Tebow seem to be great guys with level heads on their shoulders who do a lot of good for their program and those around them. My mistake man.

I noticed that dominating line too and had to shake my head at it. Don't know it was in refernce to the O or the D, but the stats on D back that up I think.

1st half
1st - 10 plays 56 yards and a FG
2nd - 3 plays 2 yards and a punt
3rd - 6 plays 6 yards a a punt
4th - 4 plays negative 20 yards and a punt
5th - 9 plays and 17 ards and a fumble
6th - 3 plays and 3 yards and a punt
7th - 5 plays and 24 yards and a punt
8th -3 plays and 20 yards end of half

2nd half
9th - 11 plays and 61 yards and a TD
10th - 8 plays and 84 yards and TD
11th - 1 play and zero yards and an int
12th - 3 plays and negative 5 yards and a fumble
13th -8 plays and 88 yards and a TD
14th 7 plays and 25 yards, turned over on downs.

Taking away the first drive, which you said was the qualification, TT had:

Total Yards
2nd drive -2
3rd - 8
4th -(12)
5th - 5
6th - 8
7th - 32
8th -52

Seven drives 52 yards is pretty dominating if you ask me. I think our yardage was slighlty better, but not much, so the same could likley have been said about the Tech line as well.

So Colt and Tebow put up virtually identical numbers on Saturday, both teams were expected to throttle their opponents (though the Florida spread was much much higher than the Texas spread), and both ended up playing pedestrian games and beating Tennessee/Tech by the exact same margin.

McCoy: 210 total yards, 1 touchdown, 2 interceptions, 119 rating
Tebow: 191 total yards, 1 touchdown, 1 interception, 114 rating

You can't tell me that it isn't a product of hype and hype alone that Tebow remains #1 in the ESPN Heisman voting and didn't drop a single first place vote while McCoy drops down to third. I wholly endorse McCoy dropping down to third (or further) due to two straight poor performances but Tebow should be coming right down there with him. Harris and Best, however, did in fact move up to 2 and 4 but those two guys should be 1 and 2. I wouldn't even put Tebow or Colt above of Keenum right now judging from performance this season alone.

I really wish Colt would just quit thinking about the Heisman, stop coming out into games jittery and making awful throws, and focus on winning football games. For that reason I hope he drops in the Heisman polls and Texas loses the #2 ranking, for now. Vince and Company knew how to handle the #2 spotlight but it is pretty clear (so far) that this bunch doesn't perform as well with the weight of the world on its shoulders. Just win football games.

I watched a good amount of the FL-TN game. While Tebow's rushing yards were not spectacular, they were very important ones. It appeared there wee a lot of 1-5 yard carries that were drive extenders.

That being said, there would appear to be better candidaets than either of them at this point.

Tebow is a brother in Christ, and i do not dislike him...PERIOD. My problem isn't with Tebow, but with those that glorify him as if he is some kind of God. It doesn't stem from jealousy, it stems from irritation and over glorification.

While it may not be a good reason to keep Tebow number and drop McCoy you do have to realize that Tebow played against a much better defense in Tennessee. They returned something like 5-6 starters off of what was statistically one of the top defenses in the entire country a year ago. While Tech has improved on D I would not put them in the same category as Tennessee just yet. I know I know those numbers were/are padded against playing those SEC offenses. However if you look at Tebows stats from a year ago against Tennessee and compared them to this year they are not that much different.
I would be willing to wager though that both Colt and Tebow could care less about winning a heisman and more about the BCS Championship.

You are an idiot, and that continues to rear its ugly head every time you attempt to come at me with some weak accusation of jealousy.

Tebow is a brother in Christ, and i do not dislike him...PERIOD. My problem isn't with Tebow, but with those that glorify him as if he is some kind of God. It doesn't stem from jealousy, it stems from irritation and over glorification.

Similar things get on my nerves all the time... SLC, Todd Dodge, etc.

This is an attack on exaggeration....

Tebow is a great football player, he has earned it....But the greatest to play the game? Nope.

Wow the hypocrisy in this statement alone coming from your mouth. He is a brother in Christ but yet you feel the need to mock the young man in this thread regardless of what the media says. If he is a brother in Christ you should embrace the message the media is sending by talking about him the way they do and how they are helping to spread the word. Then you call me an idiot. Way to keep that great Christian attitude 'Um.
Funny how when people were talking about Vince playing and being the greatest to play the game after his USC game you never came out and had a problem with that. Of course you would never admit his but if Tebow was wearing the Burnt Orange you would have no problem with this and be embracing it too. So keep showing that jealousy, its the same thing with your constant attacks on USC too it's quite what's that word you love to throw out ther, oh that's right, "AGGY"

call BS on whatever you like...I don't give a flying **** what passes or doesn't pass your smell test.

Until your jealousy stops with the constant mocking of Tebow I will continue to call BS. Your jealousy is quite evident by you starting a thread about him the way you did mocking his faith. Don't blame this on the media either 'Um, not going to work especially with the things you said. So keep that jealousy up aggy.

I don't think that many people were claiming Vince to be the best ever until he had played his last game at Texas. There were always doubters. I know there were in Columbus and in Pasadena. "No way he can do that to us". Had that conversation many times in both paces.

Thing is though, that's what fans do. Of course it's fine when your guys are getting pub. It can get a bit old, th dirt under the hospital bed for Colt/etc., but not really.

Why do so many people hate the Yankees/the Cowboys/Notre Dame/USC. They have been on top and fans of other teams get jealous and tired of hearing about them. If you're ine of them, t's agood place to be as loong as you're winning.

They started that with Vince after he won his only BCS national championship. The same thing was not said about Tebow in detail until after Tebow beat OU last year for his first BCS championship as a QB. What makes it unbearable for 'Um and the other haters is that Tebow came back for his senior year and Vince did not. Imagine how much we would haveh had to hear about Vince had he come back for his senior year in '06 had he come back.

Well said in your last paragraph. However I hate the yankees not because I am tired of hearing about them but because for hte better part of 80 years they have kicked my favorite teams :Censor:

yes. you are so right......

That is the only reason why i would think the total over-exposure of a college football player is annoying and irritating.

It would be asinine to be bothered by the over exaggeration and unearned titles being handed out by our beloved media.....

I don't agree... Tebow is recieving WAY much more publicity than Vince Young did...
Vince Young shared the Media with Reggie Bush and Matt Lienart.
It's safe to say that Tebow has the media ALL to himself...

Follow along more closely next time. I said that Tebow did not start receiving this praise until after he won the BCS national championship last year. He decided to come back for his senior year where Vince did not. The praise that Tebow was getting last year was right on par with what you saw coming for Sanchez, McCoy, Bradford and others. Right now Tebow is the only QB who can say he has won both a national title and a heisman. I think he has earned the praise more so than any other QB has, wouldn't you say?

you didn't finish his statement, i gather. he said had vince returned, the pub would have been much greater. not that he wouldn't have deserved it, mind you. read, then comment.usually makes for a better post.

He didn't earn last year's title because Florida didn't play the Big XII Champions* in the BCS game.

wow, i've got to know how a 3 loss team that didn't win their conference, and lost to rice( no team has ever won a nat'l title losing to rice, btw) could be deemed nat'l champs. seems kind of out there.
