The new craze in high school football is to add a new indoor practice facility.
First, it was to add new artificial grass (sports turf) or renovated or build a new football stadium, while adding LED replay scoreboards.
How many indoor facilities are out there and where does high school renovations go from here?
Some I know of are:
Southlake
McKinney North
Allen
Lufkin
Texarkana
Wylie
Plano
Glenn Rose
North Crowley
Saginaw

The first place that I knew had one was Coppell. They have a really nice setup except for it is traditional turf.
Isn't the title of this thread a little misleading?

I got to see the original thread before it was edited. I guess PackAttack2005 decided it wasn't necessary.

Tried to change the thread topic and could not, the indoor facility topic is much better. If the moderators will please change the header for this thread I would appreciate your help or just delete the thread completely.

The future course of high school facilities will depend a great deal on how the Texas Legislature decides to fund education. The current problem is that high property taxes make it difficult to pass bond issue elections for new improvements. Given your fan base in Lukin, it may not be as big an obstacle as in other areas.

So as to not peak the curiosity of the Lobo faithful. My first post was in reference to news reports about disturbances and fighting at Longview High, I drop it becuase the subject did not belong here. The indoor practice facilities discussion is much better.
Could Retractable Roof HS stadiums be the next big thing?
The Texas State legislators will have a big say in future school funding. There are many schools out there that would not have the facilities they have now without the benefit of Robin Hood money from the wealthier school districts.
Didn't the Birdville ISD facilities benefit significantly from the Robin Hood money sent to them from Coppell ISD?

Once again, our own newspaper fuels the stereotype about Longview. Yes, that fight in the news was bad, but that is not how Longview is day in and day out. I'm actually glad a fight like that happened. Maybe now they'll realize that Marable is full of crap and that she always is saying "Oh there is absolutely NOTHING going wrong at the High School." True, thats not how LHS is all the time, but there are problems that need to be addressed and when you have a super who doesn't even see the problem, the problems mount.

An indoor skiing facility and home in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (otherwise known as the desert)
Just goes to show 'ya..if you have the money, you can have ANYTHING!!!
