Mesquite Poteet and Richardson Pearce.
He is on pace to throw for over 6000 yds IF he plays to a title, meaning 16 games. That would be about 1200 more than Gilberts '07 season.
And as Yankee said, he is going to Texas Tech.

It looks like if the Raiders could play a little D, that would be totally possible with this offense. Their games must take forever.

Thats exactly right...IF they could play some D, they would be virtually unstoppable...as it is, they will likely lose to Guyer again. They scored basically at will against everyone last season until they met up with Guyer and were held to 28 points while Guyer got 42 and basically the same thing when they faced Frenship in the 3rd round last season.

Perfect fit. The kid should to do some serious damage to the record books while there. Great grab for the Pirate of the Basin.

Sounds like this kid's HS team is pretty much a mold of the college team he's gonna play for. A whole lot of offense but the defense needs some work!

True, for now anyway, Joe Flo typically has teams that play pretty good defense, I'm not sure if the defensive coordinator he had about 4-5 years ago is still there though.

He still is, ultimately, but as I said, Scotty is on a pace to shatter GG's record BUT, it is highly unlikely that the Raiders will be playing in the title game, which is what it would take for Scotty to even have a chance to set that record over 6000 yards. He could get just slightly over GG or near him by playing to the 2nd round or so...Which is very possible, but of course he would still need to continue on this hella pace he currenlt has.

Coach Thomas - even after last year's dismal results and last week's 63 points allowed against McKinney - is still DC at DR. One of Coach Florence's closest and most trusted assistants. With the opening of Guyer and the redrawing of the attendance zones, he hasn't had the same number of quality athletes with which to work.
Would like to think Friday night's 52-7 effort against Wichita Falls Rider - in the first half, one first down and 12 total yards for Rider - is an indication of improvement, but, Rider is down offensively this year after losing Beaver, Ward, and Thompson to DI colleges.
Will find out more about the DR defense against Lake Dallas and Denton Guyer (an ESPN Thursday night game on November 5).

Brewer at LT will break GG's single season yardage this year. He has over 1700 already and is on a pace to finish with just under 6,000 if they go to the state title game.

So Michael is averaging around 340 a game thus far and Scotty is averaging 375 a game thus far. GG averaged 301 per game. Michael is on pace for 5440 and Scotty is on pace for 6000. Michael obviously has the better chance of getting to the 16th game though.
Good luck to both young men the rest of the season...every game Michael is proving me right.:)

Actually, Brewer averages just under 390/game when he plays into the 3rd qtr. His average was lowered due to the Boerne game where he only had 151 yards in 9:00 minutes. If he plays near his average for the remainder of the season he could be very close to 6K.

Ok..Well if he hits his usual average for all the remaining games then he will shatter the current record then.

Brewer's stats are going to be limited by how badly LT blows out their opponents this year. He only threw 7 passes against Boerne, all in the first quarter, all completed. Currently has a 75% completion rate and a 222 NCAA pass efficiency rating.

These 2 guys are going to be something to follow. Scotty currently has a 67% completion rate and a 213.67 NCAA passer rating and a 140.51 NFL passer rating. Scotty also has only played 4 games.
Micheal has the highest completion percentage in Texas for someone with as many yards as he has.
There is a young man in 2A, that plays for the Alpine bucks that has thrown for 1864 yds and 23 tds with 2 ints, he has only a 58% completion rating though. The kids name is Dominic Scott.

Both these guys are going to be something to watch in college.
The game against Hutto pushed Brewer's completion rate to 76.4% and NCAA rating to 229. Taking only the games against 4A teams, his completion rate is 86.3% and NCAA pass efficiency rating is a mind-blowing 289.4.
I can't do that well on EA's NCAA on easy difficulty.

Tonight Scotty only played in part of the game against Denton High and he went 9-14 for 171 yds, 5 tds and no ints.
