View Full Version : We need our very own...5atexasfootball.com adjective

I get tired of using the same old words to describe things on here.
So I vote...we come up with our own word.
A word that is only used on this board.
We use it alone....no other words needed.
When somebody posts something incredible...or gives us some awesome stats on a player...or posts an amazing pic...

We need a word....to respond with...

Everybody give some suggestions...and an example.

I'll go first.

I submit...........tight-ness.

Kinda like Walter Payton being called sweetness.

Let's say ktchamp posts an unbelievable quote...or stat...

The next person would simply respond with ........tight-ness.
or whichever word we choose as our word.

Confused yet?

Vince

No way in hell aggy is gonna use that one.
I think it's great...don't get me wrong...
But Vince's "undefeation" will intimidate most posters.

Not like humble ol' me to prop myself up - but I thought I came up with the ultimate label for Hype/BS -

T82

In memory of our beloved, but banned member Trooper82 from Copperas Cove who couldn't help but slobber over himself when describing his beloved Dawgs. As in:

Hype - "Lufkin is the best team of all time."

Hype-buster - "That post is so T82...it reeks of T82ness..."

Something like that.

Here's another word for describing an incredible move.

Vince

As in: "Did you see that qb scramble!? Wow, that was so Vince!"

When someone puts an end to something very decisevly, i vote we say "well played"

person 1: QB #7 is so much better than QB #12.

person 2: [random stat to end all stats]

person 3: ...well played.

Hey Fav...I agree on the T82 idea...
In fact I thought I thought we had all already agreed on that one.

It needs to be a totally made up word...

Tight-ness is weak...it was just an example to get things started.

no one will agree on anything as contentious as vy or any other college player/coach. one thing we all agree on is that texas hs football is the best, and is coached by the best. how about incorporating the winningest hs coaches names into an adjective. woody might work, or just moore. neither were 5a coaches but were the best anyway.

exam- he's the woodiest lb in the state. or, he's just moore.

if you want to go with the winningest 5A coach, I think it is Eddie Peach at Lamar. Peach has some good meanings, but the problem is it could be confused with his son Scott Peach, who should not be mentioned in a positive light.

i thought by staying with wood or moore, we might be able to get a concensus. that'd be woody.
