Actually, yes. I do. At 2-0, Klein fans still care. We're not the ones failing to live up to our big talk and media hype.
Your comment is understandable. If I were a KO fan, I'd be quickly losing interest in the season in general. At least y'all are showing some fight on the sidelines. If you can't be entertaining on the field, at least you can be on the sidelines...
Maybe you can take your negativity back to the KO threads talking about how y'all are unravelling.

Humble is just playing really young right now. I am not sure if they will grow up soon or what...
We are just completely inept with our QB situation, it is really hampering what this offense is capable of. The Qb's aren't picking up on blitz, not finding the open man....and are to concerned about getting sacked that they get sacked. They have plenty of time to dump it off, but refuse to just let the game come to them. They Qb's are trying to do too much.
Defensively the fact that we are getting no pressure with our sophomore Defensive line (With the exception of SR Shannon Nettles) hurts our secondary. They are having to over compensate.
I think Klein will be a good change of pace for them giving them a different offensive look then just our spread teams we have been facing. Humble needs one win to set this team up......after that i think they will see gain a little confidence and really compete with Ike and Aldine.
we will see....
I won't hold my breath on a win, but i know they have what it takes to beat them....They just got to realize it.

Thank goodness you are not a KO fan..... In watching Klein Oak for the past 20+ years I've seen a lot of downs and a few ups. I have seen fickle fans like you that quickly throw in the towel and give up. So we are struggling.....here come the crabs......it's the quarterback's fault.....it's the coaches fault.....it's your momma's fault. Oak has the talent to win some games this year.....and maybe surprise a few. First they have to believe in themselves. No coach is going to grow them a set of gonads! They are going to have to "Cowboy Up!" They will start winning when the leader of that team whoever he, or they are steps up and say's enough. It starts with the leaders. These were meaningless games.....they have a two weeks to put on another show. I hope.....pray that they do. If not, I will still be rooting them on.....;) All the whiners can go root for the Bearkats......;)

It has been awesome to see how the crowds have supported Oak the past few years - especially last year and at the Creek game this year (waited outside from 15 minutes before kick off till almost the end of the first quarter) but winning is what brings the fans out -- so let's hope the fans and the kids all "Cowboy Up!" as you say.

:notworthy I got to see the Oak/Creek game and I do think Oak has a lot of talent. Let's face it, they haven't lost a game to a weak opponent so I would think that they will probably turn it around come district play.

Oak made mistakes (as did Creek) but did play fairly well and they had a good first half against ND and if they make those 2 INT's then maybe the game is different -- but you gotta play 4 quarters no matter who your playin'!

I have read many of your posts and find you to be very insightful and well informed. I couldn't agree more with this one.
My only reason for commenting on this thread was that I was disappointed that a K.O. fan had to come and vent his frustrations by bagging on the Bearkats. We've been picked by most "experts" to be 5th or worse in the district. That didn't give us a whole lot to cheer about. We get off to a decent start and here comes the negative stuff. It was just out of place and I felt the need to comment on it.
I guess I should have refrained. Initially I thought the 92 was the poster's graduation year. Upon further consideration, I guess it is his/her birthday.
Honestly, I look forward to getting into district play. It's a whole other season and it will flush out who's for real, and who's not. Oak will rebound. They are much better than their record thus far. I have a feeling the Panthers and Bearkats will be a battle.
Good luck to all the 13-5A teams. Let's get some teams deep this year.

Thanks!......I was pretty disappointed in a few Klein Oak fans myself. I really was responding to them. All I heard was this is to blame, that was to blame. I think fans go over the line when they attack a player personally. These are boys who do not get paid a dime. They play hopefully for the love of the game. Some parents and or fans forget sometimes. I see everyone is all of the sudden expert coaches. Some of them are dead on.....some not. As for Klein......I pick on RJ a lot.....:D Only because we have been picking on each other for while now. But let Klein play any other team outside of 13-5A and I am rooting for them as well. As far as the Oak vs. Klein game.....that is a rivalry. All bets off on those games........

Quit talkin' 'bout Momma!
And if the Panthers have a leadership vacuum, the void doesn't get filled by watching Braveheart or 300. It doesn't get filled with some speech by players to inspire each other. And it definitely can't get filled by a great coach, even if his name is V. Lombardi or T. Landry. It comes from within.

Until Humble finds something stable at QB, we will not win a game. We have been rotating QB's since game 1, and it has really hurt us. Neither QB is gaining the experience necessary to get better.
From what i understand their is a strong possibility that SR. Darius Tubbs (6'5 210) will be starting QB this Friday....which gives us a better shot. he is a 3 year starter at WR, and is familiar with defensive looks...If he doesn't start, they will use him in the Shot Gun Formations.
Humble recently went to a Power I for a good 30-40% of the plays. Didn't work to well against JV, because the coach abandoned it....But every play we ran it out of the I, it was 8-9 yard gains.

You are so right.
The great thing about having friends and family is that when you are at the top they bring you back down to earth, and when you are down they are there to pick you up and dust you off.
The one thing I have always tried to do with my kids is be there. At the end of their games win or lose when they come off that field they know where to find me. I have been blessed with a career that allows flexibility and the opportunity to be there.
One suggestion I will pass on is that there are kids on your teams that the parents can't be at the games. Reach out to them and be there when it is not possible for their family to be there.
Ok, I will now get off the preachers podium...GO BEARKATS!!

good. im glad they quit. They could be the very negative thinking that kept the team down.
Humble is getting there...I talked the coaches about 20 minutes ago and they said they are getting better, and things could look up. He said Klein was going to be tough, but not to count Humble out.
If We can find stable ground at QB, we will put up points...period.
Humble has some very talented skill players at the varsity and Sub-varsity level....Running back Brandon Holiday is a name people should remember....solid size 5'10 180ish and some room to pack on some weight....he is on the JV white team, but for the life of me can't figure out why....expect to see many Sub-Varsity kids get moved up to contribute, a lot of potential big game threats down there.

...might as well do the rebuilding now and call them up. Hate to see this program going through this tough time.
We lost 5 starters to moves or trouble. We had an unexpected Rebuilding year....
1.RB Donovonn Young(5'11 210lbs)- To Katy
2.FS LaQuintas Dowell (5'10 180lbs...legit 4.4 speed) - To an Arizona HS
3. CB Anthony Menard (5'7 170lbs)- Moved (not sure where)
4.DT Kenny Brown (6'2 320lbs)- Will return next year
5.SE Daryl Smith (5'10 170lbs...clocked a 4.39)- Not playing
The DT loss REALLY hurt us. Instead of starting half the line with experience, we now have two Sophomore DT's that are athletic and big enough to fill just one of his shoes. Kenny Brown is an absolute Monster in the trenches, and their aren't many offensive lineman that can drive him back. He could very well be the strongest kid we have had when it is all said and done.
The FS loss doesn't hurt us at that position, but Dowell was expected to make a move to LB...though he was small, he was our strongest skill player outside of DY. His bench 325lbs...His squat 455lbs...his PC: 275lbs...his 40 yard dash was 4.41....and his vertical jump was 33 inches. The only other player remotely like him physically was DY.
CB Menards departure hurt...We replaced him with a Junior who has never played Varsity.
SE Smith REALLY hurt. The Young QB's could of dumped it off to him in a little screen and no one would of caught him from behind...If this kid had open space...he was GONE. he now is concentrating on track only.
As disappointing as this start has been...I still believe Humble can rebound in time for district. The coaches are more active and lively then i have ever seen them....This doesn't happen to Humble very often....and hasn't happened in a long time. the last time we lost 3 games back to back.....its been a while.
