Anybody got it?
While you're at it, what about the Aggies? Did they win?

Have you considered clicking on the scoreboard link? Can't help you with the Aggie score but I don't think they played this week. I could be wrong on that but all you have to do is go to their athletic site to find out.

I don't find the TWHS score surprising at all. Although I didn't make any predictions about specific numbers, I felt that the offense that CL runs would give TW fits...and it did. Because of the close proximity of the sidelines to the stands, you could clearly see every vein in Coach Kennedy's (D-Coach) neck about to burst right out of his skin.
I didn't think going into this game and I never thought for a moment during the game that CL would escape triumphant over TW. Having said that, CL has some really good, fast athletes but will not give some other teams as much fits as they did TW.
I expect the same scenario to play out when TW meets CP. Close score...possibly high'ish score...in TW's favor.

I knew that CL runs that Wishbone offense that could possible match up well with The Woodz. The surprising part to me was that they played TW even closer than last year considering they apparently lost a lot of their kids to graduation. But then again, so did The Woodz.
As for the CP matchup, I imagine Carson is hoping for a tennis match scenario and go back and forth with The Woodz. The challenging part for CP is that they do not have the speed a team like CL typically does. And that plays right into TW's strength. But we're at a much better spot than we were this time last year defensively, giving up only one score in each of our last 2 games, one to a trickeration play and the other in garbage time with the backups in. So we'll see. Hoping for a competitive game.

yes, oak ridge is lookin pretty hot, but the woodlands defense just isnt the same without the household names like Charbonet, Maires, and Adamo. but the woods offense made several long scores, 2 catches by Knust that were each over 60 yards, and of course Lasco had a big touchdown run. Lasco also threw for one play, it was incomplete because of defensive pass interference. we had several terrible calls by th refs. they did not seem to know what they were doing....

Lasco also had the 43 yd TD run called back for the STUPID penalty that had nothing to do with the play --- Lasco was a the inside the 15 closest defender was at 20 - no way the defender could make up 6 yds with less than 15 to go ( he would have to be twice as fast as Lasco )--- BUT a TWH defender chose to block that defender fully square in the back a follow block out of bounds
Lasco also had 2 receptions for about 35 yds --he also showed me someting else on the 74 yd run --he was at about 20 -- but there was a defender that had the angle on him -- I thought Lasco was at full speed -- but when he realized the defender was going to make a play -- he turned up another gear at out ran the last defender
I was pleased with the O --but D needs some work

I just believe that the defense was not ready for the running styles that Lake brought

Kingwood next week is even more similar to CP's running game. Although CP has been airing it a lot of late. Not sure if it's by design or trying to limit the hits Parsons takes during a game early in the season just fresh off the injury , or both. Either way, it seems to be working out. The kid throws a really nice ball.

You're right, Roughneck. It happens to a lot of teams in a lot of games. I saw iffy calls for both teams on Saturday.
There was one non-scoring play in particular with an obvious TW penalty that wasn't called that led to a big TW gain. However, it looked like a make up no-call for two crappy calls against TW just a couple of plays earlier.
Overall, the play calling wasn't terrible but there were missed penalties for both teams...I'm not complaining.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think he was referencing the game played at Rhodes the week before and alluding to instances of poor officiating which they were quick to point out in their post game analysis (note his wink and smile faces). I was not at the game so I can't make a comment on whether the claims are valid.
