No real surprises here, except Denison (:Censor:) and Celina droping, which most of us knew they lost anyway.

I was a little surprised that the Jackets fell completely out of the top 10 after losing to a better than expected Big Spring team (no excuses, Denison should have won that game), yet Celina remained in after losing to a decent private school.

Oh well, plenty of time for D Town to right the ship and get back to the kind of football they were playing last season.

Alto should be number one Imo, but i'm still happy to see all of those East Texas teams rank that high though. Hopefully they can bring back some state titles to the Piney woods in December.

Well Brenham's game with Lamar was rescheduled to today, due to weather issue's, but if they win as expected I'd say them, Waxahachie, Angleton and possibly Denison with Cooper losing last night to Abilene. I guess there is a possibility that HP remains in, but I doubt it.

Eh, we don't deserve to be in the top 10 right now. If we don't get a lot better quickly, we won't even win our district.

For the love of the Lord, will somebody please tell the AP that it is Cibolo Steele, not Schertz Steele!

Every time I think of Schertz, I think about the speed trap they use to set up on I-35 at the bottom of the hill. They'd always tack on an additional 10 - 15 mph on every speeding ticket they issued, which were quite a few. I always laugh when I pass through there now and see that the old police station has been turned into a Hooter's. How appropriate. :D:notworthy:D

Very true...It broke my heart to hear Cody last night at halftime...He was shocked and dismayed at his Jackets performance and is less than pleased, and rightfully so, to this point at where his team is mentally...To many mistakes for a team with the returning experience of this Denison bunch...penalties and turnovers have killed even the best of teams chances and seasons before. I for one hope those kids decide to pull their heads from their rear ends and start playing the kind of ball we seen them play last season. I'd hate to know that I wasted away a talent such as DJ in his senior season, much like the Bearcats did Waymon last season. The stupidness of shooting yourself in the foot must end... and fast.

Uh............that would be Selma, not Schertz! LMFAO

But, to be fair, Schertz has garnered the same rep that the Selma PD has had for many of moons!

Samuel Clemens, aka Schertz Clemens and Byron P Steele HS are both in the Schertz, Cibolo, UC ISD (SCUCISD).

Clemens is in Schertz,
Steele is in Cibolo
