tippman 98's..i thought about buying one of those..
but i setteled with Spider E99..its not the 'best gun out there'..but when i got it, it was a pretty good gun..i got 2 hoppers..just a regular one, then i got a Riochet one (also a really good one when i got it) i got this stuff probally 3 years ago, maybe more..and i got another gun, whcih i had before that, but i cant even remember what it is..it was like a cheap 100 dollar gun..still works though..i just 'upgraded' to the E99 b/c of how much i went i needed the automatic 'option' on there.. i bought a 21 inch barrel, when im the 'sniper' type person that just hangs out up high and deep..
some intense stuff

What I currently plan to buy:

I haven't ever used a 21" barrel, but I have some friends that have used them and they cause your balls to lose velocity. Experts say the best barrel is around 12"-16".

I have a Tippman 98 Custom ($200) with 16' Boomstick Barrell ($120). I got some other friends have $700 gun and it freaking hurts. If you get shot by mine even with normal velocity then you get bleed alittle. I don't know why but funny!:D

Yeah, a lot of times direct skin shots will bleed, which makes it even funner. My Imagine was $189 when I got it and I immediatly learned a lesson when it comes to new markers (guns). Make sure you TIGHTEN ALL SCREWS after shooting a couple rounds, or you might lose one like I did. I had to take a screw out of my Compact to put it in the Imagine. Other than that, I have had no problems.
There is a guy we play with that has an expensive gun, I think the brand is Angel or something. There are a bunch of Tippman A5s, 1 or 2 98 Customs, then a bunch of Spyders.

you crank up the velocity all the way and walah..i dont use that 21 inchbarrell that much acuttaly..i knock it down to 18 half the time i use it (it has screw on part to make it the full 21 or 18 inch)

i know..it makes it worthwhile to see the bruises and blood..when you shoot em in the mask, its like okay great...in the arm..its like wow that was fricon sweet..then they get pissed off even more making it more fun..except if i get shot in arm..the paint 'mysterisouly' comes off..dont know how

Yeah, you can crank the velocity up all the way, but you then raise the risk of blowing a ball. I guess if you mess with it enough you can get it to work though. I couldn't use a 21" barrel because I dive a lot and I would stick it into the ground too many times.
Last time we played I dove over a dirt hill right into a 1 foot high pile of rocks. It hurt a little...

What bothers me the most above the waist is the hand/fingers and the neck. I need to get a new mask, one that covers more of the neck, cause those shots hurt. I am not going to mention where below the waist it hurts the most to get hit, but I will say the inner part of the thighs hurts the 2nd most below the waist.

I'm playing on Sunday.:p I wish I had ordered my Bolt and the hose but its all good. I'll save them for next time.
We play in a wooded area too, but there aren't many ants out at this time of the year. It's my bro-in laws property, and he hasn't cut the grass in a while, which is going to be fun cause you can crawl through it.

32 Degrees Coiled Remote thick Hose with Slide Check
APP Coiled Remote
PMI Coiled Remote (w/without slide check)
Trinity Coiled Remote
I am going to ask what kind some of the dudes I play with have because they haven't had any problems with theirs.
I also want to get this.

I have 2 20oz tanks. They are the reason I want to get a hose, because it is kinda hard to run full speed with the 20oz tank on there. I have a drop forward on my gun though, hang tight and I will get some pictures of it. Gotta go get the digital camera.

My bro-n-law can refill them, so I don't really need more than 40oz. If I go through that he can refill it, but I hardly ever do so its not a big deal.
The camera isn't showing up on my computer, so I have to go upstairs to put the pictures, but I don't want to. I will tomorrow.
For now I'll just say what I have.
2 black 200 ball Viewloader hoppers
1 Ricochet 2k (electronic hopper)-holds 200 balls
1 50 ball hopper (kinda useless, but I still have it)
1 14" JT barrel
2 8.5" (about) Spyder barrels. (a black one came with Compact, a chrome one came with Imagine)
2 20oz CO2 tanks (one JAVA, one PURE ENERGY)
1 Vest- I don't use this much, because it is too bulky
4 100-150 ball pods that go around my waist. I need to get the vest with room for 6 pods and has CO2 pouch in middle of back.
1 Pair- small TASCO binoculars, 10X25 (I only use these at beginning, don't want to get hit while looking through them)
VARIOUS- Hex wrenchs, screw drivers, 9v batteries (imagine has rechargable, hopper needs 1), squegee(sp?), Marker Oil, I bought these fingerless JT gloves for $7, they are padded on the back of your hand, haven't used them yet though.
This all goes in my paintball bag, which I bought at Academy. I was going to get a carrying case that looked like a tackle box, but they were out when I went to get it.

I have the 2K. It was a gift from one of my Paintball buds for my Birthday last year. He is the one that has the WDP Angel marker (not sure what kind though).
http://images-partners.google.com/images?q=tbn:b421SFx_AAGFuM:www.ricochet2k.com/images/2KBLACK4_jpg.jpg
The biggest problem with it is it beeps real loud when you only have about 50 balls left. And all the guys hear the beeb and say "ROB ONLY HAS 50 SHOTS LEFT," then I fill it from one of my pods and keep playing.
OH, and apparently I have a Spyder Imagine-S. The new ones are Spyder Imagine 2k4s. I got mine just before the new ones came out. It is the same thing except the new ones have a rubber grip while mine has a plastic one.

That reminds me: I better get a 9v battery before Sunday.

I been shot by $500 gun into my mask where you see all these little open holes and all the paint went into my mouth and it taste like crap!!!
By the way, I shot my friend about 20 yards away right in his ear (I only shot 1 time like a sniper) and he couldn't hear for a minute like he was confused. I didn't mean to shoot his ear and I think it bleed alittle bit (I thought he would be hard of hearing for alittle while).

Tippman '98 custom with a flatline barrell(I like it but some people don't). Every part is after market and I use a electric hopper(again some people don't like them, but I do).
Friend is sponsored by multiple companies because he's like really into all that and his team always does good in tournaments so he gets me free paintballs, nitrous, CO2, and every now and then a new part. But I never really do paintball anymore... no time :(

I have friends that use the flatline, and some people like it some don't. It works good for its purpose. My Imagine-S is mostly stock, except for the barrel, hopper, and drop forward. I am looking at a new bolt, and I am going to be getting new springs soon.

Tippman '98 Flatline Barrell is very good but it chops alot but I am sure if you get electric hopper, it helps to avoid chop... Am I right?
By the way, You sure you are lucky about getting free stuff but I get free CO2 from my friends who has 5 feet tall CO2 Tank to refill, it takes forever to get it all done. I haven't played paintball since last september which was the best paintball I played in paintball career (:) ). Because we played 6 vs 6 at someone's house for 3 games and I shot all of them and I never got shot from them yet in that day. It was alot of fun and I know its not that fun when you never get shot and just sit there alot and shooting people. I love to get shot but not when it hurts way too bad and other thing I am really worried about is someone shoot my balls and I would have to go to hospital (maybe?) lol, I need to start using these catchers have!
