Just a few thoughts....

Ohio St. only dropping 2 spots is ridiculous. YOU ALMOST LOST TO NAVY!! Now I would never criticize anything that my beloved Navy does....but they're still NAVY. If you're #6 in the country you should beat Navy by 3+ TDs. Buckeyes fan can say what he wants. I know like the rest of the country knows....you could hear a pin drop prior to the interception of the failed 2 pt conversion. That right there tells me you were worried........and the #6 team in the nation should NEVER be worried about Navy at any point in the game.

BYU is WAAAY too high. Yeah you beat OU without Bradford. Not impressed...and certainly not worthy of the #9 spot in the country.

Boise St. being ranked above OU almost made me fall out of my chair laughing. WOW. It's been almost 3 days and my buddy in Tulsa still hasn't returned any of my calls or texts. Wonder why??

Georgia too high at #21 for the time being. Mike Bobo refuses to let AJ Green take advantage of his big play ability and go deep until Georgia can develop a true passing threat they do not belong in the top 25 and as long as Bobo is calling the plays then Georgia is already at a disadvantage. Do not be shocked if South Carolina comes into Athens this Saturday and does to UGA what they did to us 2 years ago.
USC does not belong in any top 25. Overrated big time.

I for one am :Censor:ing surprised that Ohio State didn't plunge after that showing.... I would of Dropped Ohio State a good 10 spots for that ridiculous performance against Navy. Like you said....it's Navy....and when you have the sort of athletes you have on the Buckeyes sidelines....their is NO reason why Dobbs should be making Pryor look inept in comparison. And to think that Ohio State and USC is an anticipated match up? Dude, The Condoms are going to commit sodomy in the worst fashion....

Why? They aren't even IN the polls. I think it's great that Baylor is at least receiving votes. As a guy who went to Baylor, I don't think there's room to be humble until they at least get into a bowl game. ;)

Like I said in the other thread. OU will not jump BYU if BYU goes undefeated.

If OU can win @ Miami, vs Texas, @ Kansas, @ Nebraska, @ Tech, vs Okie Lite, and the Big XII Title game... WITH SAM BRADFORD at QB, OU will jump an undefeated BYU with ease. Will they win all those games w/ or w/o Sam? I don't think so! It's all about WHEN Sam went out of the BYU game! OU was winning when he left the game. Who's to say OU wouldn't have forced another 2 or 4 tds w/ the 2008 Heisman QB still playing? BYU was breaking in a new line, and w/o their RB... but OU was breaking in a new OL, WR's, while losing Bradford, Gresham, and utilizing a sore Murray, who had just returned to practice from a hamstring injury, a few weeks prior.

If OU magically (and I emphasize the word MAGICALLY) starts to steamroll teams, the Mormons will not be ahead of them, when it's all said and done. Unfortunately, pedigree, traditional strength, and the perception of the potential of OU being greater than the potential of BYU will win out.

JMO!

I'll actually be pulliing for tOSU to kick wUS-C's @$$ in this one...that way they can both be exposed for being hyped-up in the AP polls, and by most of the media.

TCU opens this coming weekend against that ACC powerhouse -uVa. Well, at least Charlottesville is a pretty place. The Frogs should have a nice view of Scott Stadium, as I suspect that even more hoos than usual will come disguised as their favorite seat.

How did is Utah not number 1? They should have started the year there as the only undefeated team and then they won Week 1. What a crime it is that they aren't number 1.

Every team in the country started the year undefeated. If the voters don't think they are the best team in the country they don't belong at #1.

I hope BYU runs the table and plays in the *National Championship Game. I've not seen a non-BCS team ranked so highly so early in the season, I think they can finally break through for the MWC. BYU running the table would also dramatically increase OU's chances of making it back to a BCS game. Season isn't over yet and Bradford will eventually be back. Texas played without Irby last year, and will this year, so it can be done.

The coaches poll is much more relevant though. Half the AP voters are certified morons.
