Has anyone heard who it is yet? Clayton Geroge was a finalist. That would be one more team around this are running Dodge's system.

Who are some others????
Hal Wasson - Fossil Ridge
Clatyton George - Hillcrest

You would think a state championship caliber program like that would promote more people to the outside than it does....

I know the Marcus lineage is quite lengthy.....Don't really hear much of the Southlake Dodge coaching tree.....Can't be good to work for someone who won't endorse you for a head job....What about defensively???? Is there a school of Ron???? Yeah right!!!!!!!

you are a known and admitted slc hater, so let's read the situation of which you speak. wasson was only a protege for 2 years, and he came from a head coaching job and left for one. clayton paid his dues and is the next young turk, imo. charlie never wanted to be a head coach, as doesn't ron m. there have been 5 assts that i can think of who left slc for other jobs, at least 3 as coaches. there are 3 others here now who consider this their dream job and wouldn't apply for a hc job any way. there are at least 3-4 young coaches who i expect to climb the ladder this year, some to hc positions. znd btw, we didn't hire him to make other programs better by training young coaches. i'm betting the indians would be glad for a little proximity success to occur.

You bring up a decent question... With you saying Mendoza doesn't want to be a HC, does that include @ SLC? Who fills the void? I have often wondered if CISD doesn't give Wasson a call in 2 years...

I want Joey Florence if Dodge ever leaves. I am not sure that is possible, but he is my number one choice

So there is only one guy from the Dodge system to obtain a head coaching job....I guarantee it isn't because of the "dream job status"....

Indeed Keller would love to enjoy some proximity success....I can't argue with the success you guys have had....I can say this though, it won't last forever....I hear Tre Newton may be going back to Lewisville where he lives.....He leaves and SLC doesn't win 5 games next year...Man that sucks...

Joey Florence lost his chance this year due to the attitude that he let his players use during the thrashing at denton stadium by SLC.

Tre lives in Southlake. Stop making up rumors. Dodge has had his program at Carroll for 6 years now. He has only I think 2 coaches left that he started with. One had been at Carroll for like 12 years before he started. So there is a lot of turnover.

Ask yourself why Tre Newton would want to leave a high octane offense to go to a program that is still trying to find itself.

envy and inuendo are only going to make your posts as revered as implac44. will dodge be held in contempt and blacklisted if he only has one asst make the jump to a hc job in his 6 years here? not in my eyes, as i was hoping for varsity wins and titles along with great leadership/example when he was hired. he has produced way beyond what anyone could have expected on all accounts. go on over to the qb club meetings in keller and run him down all you want, but it won't fly around here.

You really think SLC wins 5 games w/out Tre', huh?

You're wrong on many levels. Kind of an *** too boot.

doc skurlock, you need to look at the SLC team. Tre is not the only one that can run the ball in this offense, he may be the best one , but there are other kids in this program that can play football. Besides, the team does not work on tre alone, it takes a team to win , and a team to lose. Our day is coming, but we are enjoying it as much as we can. Good luck to Haltom in finding a good coach.

Those 5 wins would still be more than what Keller had last season

That's Mr. *** to you Suckatha.....

Nice Stadium??? Have you guys ever been there????? You could get better quality film from a hunting tripod, at least you'd be higher up...But then we all all know that Carroll's facilities are second to none....Money cures all....
.
Yeah I was just making up stuff about Newton....But if he ever gets hurt Southlake doesn't even make the playoffs next year....And that's with four teams going....Your JV was mediocre at best....

last year Carroll's JV was terrible, but they won a state championship. The JV featured a lot of great players, but, in the games that I went to 4 of them, the coach played just about everyone. Atleast 55 kids touched the field.

I just love it when Keller thinks Carroll has problems....Yeah, we have to come to your stadium to play you every other year...for some reason they built the 100 seats for the visitors, and then decided to put the field in another zip code...other than that its horrible...

Keller does have one weird stadium. It is really pretty nice on the home side, but that set-back drop off on the visitor's is just strange. That would make an interesting thread, talking about the best and worst stadiums you have ever been in.

I thought the old Denton stadium was great. Not much larger than the old Dragon Stadium, but set in that neighborhood where footballs on extra points to the south end zone could almost end up in back yards! Sherman has a great old stadium set into a hill side that had character.

I like that Sherman Stadium! The freeway seems about 20 feet from the corner of the end zone..it is what you would think of a 1950's stadium would be like..which is probably when it was built

Poor little indian boy.

I finally stopped wearing my state championship t-shirt to FBCK because the "green is not my color" shirts have pretty much disappeared.

Clayton George, who worked with Coach Dodge for 10 years, and had most recently been the Head Coach at Dallas Hillcrest, was named the head coach at Haltom.

Will Haltom have any kind of talent coming back next year?
