I think Washington will keep it close for a half, and run out of steam in the 2nd.

My boss, who went to LSU, flew up to Washington for this game. Apparently LSU has traveled well to Seattle.

My husband left yesterday for the semi-annual guy golf trip. Two of The Guys won't get there till tomorrow as they went to watch LSU kick :Censor::Censor:
The good news is that gives my husband an extra day to shop to compensate me for not having a vacation.

But when The Husband goes on a trip with The Guys but without The Wife, special compensation is Required.

holding a team to 13 points isn't good? I think it's the offense that isn't looking so hot....

I didn't think LSU should have been ranked as high as they were in the preseason, but this is still surprising to me.
I'm sure cajun is pulling his hair out right now.

I don't have a whole lot of confidence in Les Miles. He's been coasting on Nick Saban's work but it's wearing off it looks like....

we're talking bout washington here. they should not be in this. and it's just the beginning of the 3rd quarter. lsu could clamp down here.

Yeah, but apparently this is Washington's "breakthrough" season with this new coach and stuff.... It's about what I expected honestly. This is a trap game for LSU.

Washington's offense had 293 yards in the first half, and had the LSU offense on the sideline for most of the first half. That's the reason Washington is in this game.

Washington will be lucky to win 5 games.

This also isn't a trap game. Its not sandwiched between any games. It's the first game of the season.

Locker has some speed. I remember he suffered a very scary injury a little while back. Good to see him bounce back.

I never considered that a requirement for a trap game. To me, it's a game that they might be taking lightly, which is a trap. LOL all defining it.

I was listening to the postgame as I was driving and Les showed why he's a crap coach. You beat an 0-12 team 31-23 and have better players. I don't want to hear about traveling 2500 miles and playing late at night and all the excuses. It was worse than listening to Mack cry since November about losing by 1 second!
At least do like Leach and say when your team and players play badly.

Not an impressive showing by the Tigers, especially defensively. When did LSU switch to playing this soft zone defense? Sark just ate it up.
OTOH, UW served notice that they aren't going to be a doormat in the PAC-10 this year. What an unbelievable environment that first half was. ESPN had to shift to field-level cameras so often because that upper deck was rocking, literally.
Obviously, LSU had way better athletes than UW and that eventually made the difference (Terrence Tolliver), but if that's the kind of coaching performance the Tigers are going to get from the DC, it could be a very underachieving team.
Bama's defense, on the other hand, truly impressed. And I'm quite sure Ole Miss is going to hang a huge beating on Memphis today. So I have LSU third at best in the SEC West.

UW's home field advantage is awesome. Sarkisian had that offense playing at a good level for game one against a talented LSU team. They will light up a lot of teams as long as they can keep Locker healthy.
I'm not sure why LSU would schedule such a game unless they're trying to make recruiting inroads in the PNW. They're lucky they came out of there with their hopes and dreams intact. Tough, tough place to play.

Sarkisian is just what Dog fans needed... While they lost, the product on the field last night had a ton of heart and hustle. Something that has been missing for a couple of seasons.
Husky Stadium is very intimidating to play but a ton of fun for fans to watch a game at! The scenery is stunning!

Jake Locker kid is a very impressive QB at Washington. He is every bit the QB (and maybe better) than Tim Tebow and Colt McCoy.

LSU thought this was an easy game. Take on a Pac 10 scrub, blow them out and pound on you're chest. The SEC teams have that pac 1 mentality, but don't have to look much further than looking at the Tennessee results against the pac 10 to change their tune. The SEC doesn't do to good when the travel west to take on a Pac 10 team. Their 3-5 or 3-6 this decade(Don't wanna look it up).

I sure do love Huskie Stadium. If I didn't hate the cold so much I might be tempted to go check it out!
