2 a days are finally over and the scrims have been played. the weeks in the heat and sweat of speed camp and seven on seven have been cashed in. now the real time starts, the players helmets have been buffed and shine like new and the decals have been put on perfectly even and straight. season tickets have been sold out and the new t shirts are on sell. the band and drill teams are back from camp and marching once agian. the cheer leaders are getting ideas for the peprally themes . the coachs have made the play books and the final cuts and adds to the V team. the weeks of talk are over and its time to add the walk, peseason ranks are in but dont matter, because no one knows who will win or lose. so its time fans to dust off that old seat cover and buy more body paint, get out that old drink helment with the 2 drink holders on each side, find that lucky hat of yours and slap it on your head. call up the old bbq joint and reserve that pre-game meal. and after your game you come striaght home and try to be the first person to add a thread on 5Atexasfootball about the game's last sec win. its time boys and girls!!! its week Zero!!!! so make the best of it and enjoy this season! we are the fans of texas high school football, fans that will never die, win or lose this is what we live for!! so goodluck to all and may this season be one we never forget!!:notworthy:notworthy

And I don't know about the pep rallies. I think schools who run things old school still do them. When my kids were in band, they had them every once in a while. When I was in school, that was the highlight of the week other than the game....EVERYONE was there...every Friday morning. And we weren't forced to go or told we could leave early if we went - we got to school early to go to them because if you didn't, you wouldn't get a seat (unless you were in band, drill team or football in which case you had a reserved seat of course).

When I was in school, that was the highlight of the week other than the game....EVERYONE was there...every Friday morning. And we weren't forced to go or told we could leave early if we went - we got to school early to go to them because if you didn't, you wouldn't get a seat (unless you were in band, drill team or football in which case you had a reserved seat of course).
