6-8 and 2 TD's in a 17-13 win over Pitt. Also, 1 rush for 22 yds. Just looking at the box score tonight - IMO, he made the team.

He looked great but they have to get rid of Colt Brennan for Chase to stick right?

Yeah, I was watching it, he looked great!

Might need more than he showed to make the team, but great job by him anyway. If this doesn't earn him a spot with Washington, it should get him some looks from other teams.

It was so great watching Chase throw TD passes in the NFL today. He has come so far. Congrats CD!

the greatness that was chase last night was offset almost totally by the complete ignorance of joe theesman and the stupid cutie-pie sideline reporter. moron joe called chase "daniels" all night. hey idiot. it isn't that hard to get a name like daniel right.

and the bimbo called the 2 yard line the second yard line. i scared the dogs yelling at her.

haha...I was wondering if the neighbors could her me yelling at the TV in the garage...

Chase looked good...and probably earned himself another look next week...and plenty of other teams will watch him closely when they view that game tape...

If not for the redskins, then i hope he gets looks from somewhere else. He has made improvements. Happy for him.

Is it a certainty that the Skins keep Collins?? If Chase doesnt stick in Wash...I would think he would find a home as a #3 somewhere else.

Yes, that was annoying.

I was extremely happy for Chase. I had no clue he was picked up by anyone until last night when I was watching the game. I don't know how I missed that....

That was pissing me off too. I mean his name is on the back of his freakin' jersey...how hard is it to get that right.

Theisman changed the pronunciation of his own name in a fit of vainglory..How can he be expected to get anyone else's right?

this is one of the most forgotten facts of that generation and those that have come after.

For the unwashed, his name is pronounced "Theesman" but he changed it to rhyme with Heisman during his college days. Thought it would keep him in voters minds. Of course in those days there was not an internet to inform people of his trickery, so he got a lot of traction out of it. It didn't hurt that he was a Golden Domer also.

GOOD LUCK CHASE DANIEL

Actually if Theismann is a German name the pronunciation would rhyme with Heisman anyway.

Kid slid into a some kind of luck after all this weak spot in the draft stuff.
He's the best QB on the Redskins already. I like Jason Campbell the guy because he plays hard but I'll take Daniel for the starting QB if I see so much as one more pass with him checking off recievers.

I know. Drew Brees has proven that you don't have to be 6'4" to be top NFL QB. I would think with all the Chase has accomplished that he would be given strong consideration. Where did the #3 QB play? CD played in the Big 12 against top competition every week.

Chase has proven us wrong many times before. There are some real bozo NFL qb's out there - I like his odds.

Now Brennan isn't chicken feed...and the school really wouldn't matter to me (think Roethlisberger). It's what you see on the field when these guys are engaged, how they stand in the pockect, take hits (or avoid them), and move the team forward most importantly. Daniel is a NFL QB.I know. i hope you aren't including me in that group. anyone who was surprised to see him do what he did sat hasn't been paying attention. he can and will play, and win in this league, too.

“The competition right now is for the No. 3 spot,” Zorn said. “And Chase is making a statement about that.”

Thats good news for Chase. I hope he gets it, or lands somewhere else. I'd love to have him in Dallas as the #2.

Yes. Kitna could take over the #3 spot. Wasn't our #3 hurt last week?

Dont know. I do know I'd rather have Chase than Kitna as a #2, if not someone else...how bout Testaverde?...Oh yea, weve tried that...nevermind.:D

Interesting update... They don't like Chase's height, but he can definitely play. Colt doesn't protect the ball, but has the potential to be more than a #3 QB. The loser in this battle for the #3 QB slot will probably be picked up by another club.

Strictly my opinion, but I was never too impressed with Brennan. Chase is more athletic it seems but I guess we will see. But yea if Washington does decide to let him go Im confident he will end up on an NFL roster.
