So what do you guys think of Graham Harrell starting at Tech next year? I was excited about the way he threw at the Cotton Bowl. It was a tough situation for him to come in and while he didn't excel, he showed a lot of promise.

He'll eventually be a better qb than Hodges or Symons - equal to Cliff IMO.

I wish he would have played more this year during the creampuff schedule, but the season did not permit him much playing time after the wins started building. Cody's last play pass against Nebraska was IMO the play of the year for Tech. Hodges was resilient, and Leach was loyal to him. Otherwise, we could be talking about how Hodges got screwed for the up and comer to get to play.( see- Applewhite)

I am looking forward to Herrell playing and think he will be very successful. the Raiders are getting a little depth at O-line( see david Carr on his back) and keep adding receivers.
Shannon Woods will have to step up BIG time to maintain Taurean Henderson's production, and like David Thomas for UT, little #19 was invaluable on 3rd downs.

I think Harrell is going to be very good at Texas Tech. Probably on par with Kingsbury or (maybe better). Anyway, I think Tx Tech has a gamer at the QB position for the few seasons.

I've heard some good things about Shannon Woods. He might not have the wiggle that Henderson had but I think he's going to bring more power with some pop.

I wish he would have played more this year during the creampuff scheduleI guess you didn't watch or listen to any of the games. Graham Harrell played most of the 2nd half against FIU, all but the 1st series of the 2nd half against SHSU, and the ENTIRE 2nd half of the Indiana State game. Since the starting QB was in his first season as a starter, he kind of needed to play the first half. We couldn't exactly get Harrell out there in the first half.

Henderson was more money for us on foruth downs, than third. Third down was pretty evenly distributed. Shannon Woods will be fine and Edward Britton from El Paso is pushing Woods.

The Cotton Bowl was frustrating but watching the way Harrell threw helped give me comfort in the off season we will be fine. I think he will be the best ever QB too.
