Welcome to our new home! Since launching in 2001, this is the first time we've been able to turn the design aspect of the site over to professionals and we are thrilled with the results!
There may well be some bugs that need squashing in the early going, so if you'd be kind enough to PM us when you find one, we'll do our best to take care of them as fast as we can.
Take some time to familiarize yourself with the new navigation and the new features.
Use this thread to check in and let us know what you think.
Also, help us get the kinks out...please PM or EMAIL me with issues or bugs!...see below...

I'd also like to add that we'll be adding content over the next several days as we continue to convert old pages/information over, as well as populating the new stuff like the Photo Gallery, the 5ATXFB Widget, player bio's, etc.

Wow that was quick! Y'all may be relatively alone for a bit, haha.
Thanks for the great compliments! We're still working on populating all of the content areas, but the main stuff is pretty much ready to rock.
I'm currently working up the Pick 'Em page and I hope to have something whipped up before I go to bed tonight.
The Regional Standings boxes will be fixed early in the week, they're just not showing up yet and that's something the developers have to work out.
Other than that, let us know if you catch any bugs...via PM if you wouldn't mind, please.

Some of you may be seeing just a blue square where the main headline images are supposed to appear, but that should just be temporary while the DNS changes are propogating.

Click post reply below...then once in the editor...click on the little yellow square icon near the top..."insert image" it will say when you mouse over it. Then paste the URL to the photo here and that should do it.

You can actually go into your vbulletin files and alter the images and colors. I did it to my phpbb message board, so I know it can be done here. I adjusted the gradients to be two-toned burnt orange. I also changed the thread icons (new post vs. old post) to white longhorn logos and orange logos for a new post. You could change y'all's to footballs on fire or something. Adjusting the colors of the message board to match the new look of the surrounding site would make it even sleeker.
Just some thoughts. Sorta rambling.

Noticed a very slight bug.
When i click on the Community drop down at the top of the forum, the menu appears about 2 inches down my screen and over to the right some. So, it's not really connected to the menu. It just appears in the middle of the screen.

Since we're still technically in the transfer process (24-48 hours)...load times will be a bit slower through this process. Hang in there and they will improve.
And please PM or email one of us any bugs found so we can keep them in one general area.

what's the deal with "quick links" drop down ? It opens way to the right instead of directly underneath. kind of tricky to navigate to.

There's a ton more information, video, and photos that can be added to the Player Profiles on the Super List...yet another big addition/upgrade from what we've had in the past. Now you can actually click on the player's name in the lists to reveal a full profile. In the future, we hope to have these things full of information for each player we add.
I'll be adding in more video, courtesy of PrepTicket.com, to the player profiles in the near future. We're also going to have little video and photo icons added next to each name when this content is available for that player.

For some reason I thought you guys were updating to the 4.0, but this isnt what the 4.0 looks like.....dont get me wrong, I like it ok, but we are still on 3.8.4 correct? You pretty much just updated the size and capabilities of the server?
It mostly looks like the site outside of the boards has changed, not really the boards themselves?
All in all I do like it, but will the screen be like it was before, where the entire board filled up the screen?

We got the impression that people who frequented the board didn't know that there was a website attached to it.
The upgrades we've made to the main site are considerable, but we won't get the full effect of that until we really get into the season. Not everything is in place yet and it will take us some time to best figure out how to utilize all of our new tools.

If you look at shooter's latest thread, large pictures force the board outside of its frame (toward the right). I was using Firefox and a widescreen monitor with very high resolution when I noticed this.
It's also doing it on my work computer (17" monitor with IE 6.0).

Yep, we're already on this and it has been put in the queue of things to fix. :)

Thanks for the info Champ, as always you guys do a great job providing us a place to call home. I said this before, I frequent many many boards, in this state and many other states and nationally as well and this is by far the best site for high school football in existence.

I am having problems finding all of the newspaper posts that used to be list with the other forum headings. Under the newspaper tab it doesn't show all of the listings. Where do I need to be looking now for that?

It should soon show all of the listings. We are having an "archives" section added for the "Newspapers" tab in the right column.
The Newsstand board was taken down with the addition of this part of the website in an attempt to help reduce the load of the message board.
