Antonio davis went into the stands to check on his wife, and people are comparing it to the brawl that took place last season...I dont see how these things could even be considered in the same ballpark.i wacthd both on tape.i thikn he did the right thing checking on his wife, and i would have done the same thing.

I have no problem with him checking on his wife. I don't see how anyone would confuse that with what happened in the Palace.

eeeeaahaahahahaeeee....I don't know about this one.

You can't go in the stands...that's a rule.
Was he wrong?.....in that regard yes.
Was he right to check on his wife....yes.

From what I am hearing...his wife has a big *** mouth.
Hell...even Spreewell got into it with her once.

I'm on the fence on this one.
I say he should make his wife pay the fine...she's the one that was running her mouth.

Maybe he was going to make sure that dude was OK!

I just saw the latest replay on ESPNews...I'm back on the fence now.

I heard about it, but haven't seen the action. Mr. PC will make sure he suspends him. ESPN thinks it will be 8 games.

Spreewell gets into it with everyone.

Read that the suspension is 5 games.

If his wife is that bad, he should be used to her crap.

Being a mailman, I had a bunch of time to listen to the "national" radio guys yesterday, and the general opinion is that his wife is a handful, not in the nasty way, the big mouth way. She has a rep. of being a problem. They joked, on more than one show, that he may have been checking on the guy and not his wife.

He was wrong to go up, because that is the rule, but he probably was right to check on his wife. Take the punsihment and deal with it.

It was sugested that players shoudl take care of that kind of business, especially at road games, like this one, before the game. They should make it clear to friends and family, befor the game, that the fans will be hostile to him and to not take it seriously, and if they can't behave and keep their mouths shut, then thay can't attend the game.

He's gonna lose about $600,000 for the suspension. "Wife control" WILL be a family issue in their home this week, or he's gonna go broke.

Just hire a body guard to keep her from getting into those situations. I sure she is nothing like Doug Christi's wife.

antonio davis, who plays for the Knicks, went into the stands during an NBA game at the United Center in Chicago. He said he was checking on his wife. At first, he said he saw somebody actually grab her. He did not do anything once he was in the stands. he has since been suspended for 5 games.

The fan has been interviewed and supposedly has witnesses that Davis' wife was being disruptive, especially when the Knicks scored. he asked her to settle down so everyone could enjoy the game, and that's when the argument started. there is film of her sticking her finger in his face, pointing at him.

The fan also happens to be the son of a very influential power broker within the Democratic Party in Chicago. The son has threatened a lawsuit for assault and slander for $1mil. He has also said he might rescind the lawsuit if a public apology is made.
