Hopefully Cooper can improve on last season's 8-5 record and make another deep run in the playoffs!

Had this been Wyatt from the mid 90s thru the 2000 team, then Wyatt would've had a chance. But, the Chaps don't have the depth or coaching.
Cooper wins, 55-7.

Cooper outmatched Wyatt in every facet, but although Wyatt's talent might not have matched Cooper's the Cougars did look good in their execution on offense and defense. Hopefully the Coogs will build on this and make another good run in the Class 4A playoffs again!
GO COUGARS!!!

The last three games of Cooper's pre-district schedule are looking like a murderers' row after week 0:
Abilene 56 - FW Dunbar 13
Garland 60 - Dallas Kimball 7
Lewisville Hebron 37 - Wylie 14
I realize that Dunbar and Kimball are 4A but Dunbar didn't lose another game last year after AHS spanked them until the POs i believe. Don't know about Kimball but putting 60 on anybody is impressive. And Hebron beating state finalist Wylie! OUCH!!!!

I can't remember the last time somebody hung 60 on Kimball hell, let alone, 50. And, you're right about Dunbar!
Garland went atleast 3 rounds deep last year in the postseason and, are suppose to be better this year. Hebron will be tough, as well.
It'll just make the Cougars better though.

Yes, these games will definitely help the Cougars get to where they need to be for a district and playoff run.

Cooper gets Garland here at Shotwell for Homecoming and they travel to Hebron for their Homecoming I believe.

Dont put to much on the Kimball game. The Owls had a fire under thier tail. The next two games will tell you folks out west what to expect from Garland
