There are a whole lotta Soph District players of the year... This one addition just isn't *that* big of a deal... If anyone is 'rubbing' the 'rest of the state's' nose in it, then they are a bit.. well.. slow ;)

sd, i would suggest you trot back to the originator of the transfer thread and recognize that the home school was sgp(south grand prairie) not slc. not that it matters to some.

Didn't your district have like two offensive and two defensive sophmores of the year, thus creating four sophmores of the year for your district? So they really weren't co-soph's - they were like quad-soph's of the year, or something like that.

Our district only has one "newcomer" of the year. That way, it could be a freshman or sophmore.

I think when you have foud guys win it, it kind of cheapens it.

The only all district teams that I looked at were the ones in the metroplex especially the ones in and around Tarrant county. Most of those had atleast an offensive and a defensive sophomore of the year. Now Jagdad07 how does it feel to be mediocre year in and year out?

No, summit had the newcomer of the year for District 4-5A this past year. The original posting on this thread was alluding to so many "Sophmores of the Year" playing for SLC, when your district has four each year.

what is your point? Are you trying to discredit the achievement in some way? 4-5A has two newcomers of the year. One on offense and one on defense, and both were awarded to sophomores. It is the same award as sophomore of the year. Again, Jagdad07 how does it feel to be mediocre year in and year out?
