For any of you folks in the New Braunfels area, you have to try a burger from Lone Star Float House on the Guadalupe between the 2nd and 3rd crossings. Real real damn good burger.

My boss went out to the #3 on the list. Said it was pretty good.
#15 Twisted Root Burger Company in Dallas. I seen them featured on an episode of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives on Food Network.
#1 at The Grape is certainly worthy of that credit. Very delicious for sure...It'll leave your belly hurting though.

List incomplete. My mother's almost burnt iron skillet burgers with the works are the best ever eaten on this planet...
And Mel's didn't make the list cause they aren't high-falutin' enough. jmo.

How can Houston be on the fattest cities in America when the majority of the top places are in Dallas/Fort Worth, San Antonio/Austin areas. I thought the fattest city was based on fast food. Then tell me, who has paid 30 bucks for a burger. Southlake fans, we promise not to make fun.

Prolly based on not just fast food, but lazy people as well.
Not I. I have had the classic thats #1 at The Grape though... It was around 15 bucks for the meal and drink.

The only one on the list I've had is Jake's....had the double/double but the one I always get is the double meat mushroom burger with swiss.
I was kind of surprised that Burger House didn't make the list. They have won so many awards for their burgers over the years.

Amazing that the little burger places closest to the cows don't make the list...
The articles writer probably didn't want to get bullsh*t on his tennis shoes...
The greatest burgers in Texas are in the metroplexs...:notworthy

It was based on fast food restaurants per square mile. These diners/restaurants/hamburger joints don't seem to represent fast food restaurants.

It is a goal of mine to eat a burger at Kincaids. No. 22, the Snuffy Burger at Chicken Oil, is good, but not even the best in B/CS. Koppe Bridge on Wellborn holds that distinction.
A Brie and Granny Smith Burger? No thank you.

#34 Sam's Deli Diner is delicious. They moved to a bigger location but kept their old grill.
Any saturday morning/afternoon after friday night games anyone can see half the stratford football team go through there and get lunch because its so cheap and close to the school.
And the "Two All Day Burger Guy" who is a former stratford lb gained fame by eating two all day burgers in a sitting which i think is a patty a susage patty a slice of ham and bacon with everything on it.
